Unpleasant Experience at a Pub Near the University of Manchester
I've had some rather uncomfortable encounters at a pub close to the University of Manchester. Here's a brief recap:
First Visit: While I was deciding whether to have a beer or a hot drink, a member of the managerial staff suddenly treated me harshly as though I had done something wrong. All I could do was apologize repeatedly because I genuinely had no idea what was going on. It's possible that he mistook me for someone else.
Second Attempt: I decided to give it another shot, hoping to clear up any previous misunderstandings. After having a drink upstairs, I encountered the same member of staff on my way out. The look he gave me was as if he saw an unwelcome intruder, and I was asked to leave the pub again. This time, I felt a real sense of threat, especially when I tried to document what happened.
Overall Feeling: The way I was treated was quite distressing, and it seems like there might be underlying issues that I'm not aware of.
I have always maintained a polite demeanor and hoped to resolve this issue privately. I'm posting this to see if anyone else has had similar experiences at this establishment.
If anyone has any suggestions or has been through something similar, please...

I came here with a friend after a gig at the Academy, and the experience was awful. We stayed for around two hours but constantly struggled to get served, despite it being a quiet evening and there being three members of staff working behind the bar.
Later in the evening, the bar manager served us and made an incredibly inappropriate comment to me and my friend while serving us. “Don’t be a creep or I’ll take your crutches away". My friend is walking challenged, so this was not only offensive but also deeply insensitive.
When I confronted him about it, he claimed the staff felt “uncomfortable” around us.
After pressing for clarification, he eventually admitted no staff had actually raised any concerns. He then apologised and offered us free drinks, but still couldn’t explain why he had said what he did in the first place.
The entire interaction was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise avoiding this bar, especially if you expect to be treated with...

Sat on roof terrace which is surrounded with lots of greenery. Super cool music and vibes. Love it. The bar and decor isn't a polished fancy bar. It is real, authentic muso bar. The icing on the cake is the wee food place on the roof terrace. This was a surprise to me as I didn't know it was there. Sipping a beer in the sunshine then glance over to see pizzas and snacks. A genuine Sicilian pizza kitchen. Oh my days - food was unbelievably good. Truly restaurant quality food served and presented almost festival style. For a moment we were transported to Glastonbury ( the music, the greenery, the beer, the food )
You cannot come to Manchester without visiting this place. One of favourites for sure.
Even visit just for the food. It really was incredible. Inexpensive yet very high quality.
I'm just hungry for more just...
