Laser Quest Stoke — Attraction in Newcastle-under-Lyme

We have purchased the Easter package for the group of 6 children. None of us (adults or kids) had ever been in Laser Quest before so we didn't know what to expect. I'm glad to say that we had a really positive experience! The way everything was organised was just 100%. I can't praise the manager and the rest of the team more (sorry, I haven't remembered your names, guys). Friendly, with smiles on their faces, helpful, informative. They all were great at working with children. I loved how they separated the 3 games included in the Easter Offer, it gave the kids a chance to cool down and rest in between games.

A couple of downsides (nothing to do with the staff) were: a) there's an guidance video prior the game but the voice on the video is sort of electronic. It really didn't sound clear and most of our kids (as well as adults) struggled to understand what was said. I would recommend to change it for a normal human voice. b) during the 2nd game there was a mix of kids and adults (a separate group who came at the same time as us). We were a bit unsure about this combination. Our children were frustrated with their scores going down and came out upset. Probably, that was a reason why it was just wise to let them have a break and they had their pizza 🍕 while the same adults had their 2nd game. It was perfect for us. Luckily, the 3d game was good again and without those adults. c) it's not quite straightforward to find the entrance if you haven't been before. Unfortunately we had to park on a different car park since we arrived by van and the limit on their car park is 2 metres. Can you imagine that we walked around for about 15 min if not more trying to find the entrance 🤣 For anyone who will have the same problem: enter from the High Street (the entrance is "hidden" between shops, cafs and banks).

Rather than that we just can't fault the experience. Our kids loved it and adults were chilling while waiting for them. P.S. Pizza was simple but cooked well (the dough wasn't soggy, nor it was dry, I'd say just perfect).

To the owner: you have selected your team really well👍🏼💯 They are the bonus of the place.

I’m sorry to say that the experience was very poor. The place was filthy when I went. The arcade games are broken or in poor condition. There are absolutely no covid safety precautions. The floor underneath the party tables was littered with old empty cups. Staff left empty tables dirty for the entire time we were there. Additionally a teenager was sat on the sofas vaping (which I appreciated isn’t the establishments fault directly, but when you take no pride in your place you can’t expect customers to treat it with pride). Having read the other reviews, it seems that this place was once great and has been let to slip into a total pit.

I’ve made no comment about the food and only comment on the way I found your establishment to be on the day. I understand that you are defensive of your business, but it would be better to put your enthusiasm into giving the place a good clean and having a fresh start to...

My boy had his 10th birthday party here, he and all his friends absolutely loved it. The staff were super friendly and great party hosts. The kids had a 20 minute game, squash break, then another game, and party food. So much pizza, drinks, ice pops, followed by the birthday cake I bought and the 20p sweet machines on the counter. It was the first time my 7 year old daughter had played at laser quest and she was scared and upset playing in the dark. I told the host, James, and asked if I could accompany her in the room, not expecting he’d let me wear an armour and play the game for free too. My daughter had a better time playing the second game, thanks to James. All staff deserve credit as they work hard, even the staff we couldn’t see in the kitchen, the pizza were just coming out of the back room, they must have been rushed off their feet. It was absolutely worth going and my son had 2 VIP/free passes as a gift. We are sure to visit again soon. Thank you all for making my son have a rememberable birthday. See...
