I just wanted to say that the blue door cafe have the best scones I have ever eaten. We were craving a cream tea the other day and happened to pop in. We were not disappointed. All home made, the perfect amount of fruit and super delicious. They were soo good we went back the next day. The staff and owners are all super friendly. All the food we saw being ordered looked delicious. We can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the scone on my plate. It was so delicious I forgot to take one. Here they are in the display cabinet.

The Blue door cafe is quietly tucked away in the centre of Newport, I often forget it there, but it offers great quality food and good coffee. The blue door cafe salad and the English breakfast are my favourites. The inside is very small but the outdoor seating is lovely on a warm day, and it almost felt like some European town while I drank coffee in the busy square. Nice. Only downsides are they only take cash (it's 2019!) And they close at 16:00. There are plenty of cash points (ATMs) near by though.

The food, the presentation, the vibe 🤗 Everything, literally everything was on point from the cafe. The staff were so sweet and welcoming as well. Everything was wonderfully thought through with the taste of the food, every little detail! We are definitely coming back here every time we come Isle of Wight! It was honestly the most delicious breakfast we ever had in our lives! A big shoutout to everyone in the cafe, especially the chef!

We went down the Town today, for something to eat, as we had been before and the Food was nice. Today we had a shocking experience, one that was just unbelievable to be honest. My Husband had a Chicken Mayo Sandwich, which he normally really enjoys elsewhere, but upon taking ONE BITE, there WAS SKIN on it, so he didn’t like it and I went in and POLITELY explained he was not keen on it as it had skin on. Both the Woman and Man owner argued that it was “lovely” and had no skin on. There was skin on the chicken, anyone could see that. Andrew then came out of the Kitchen and questioned why my Husband did not like it and said it’s lovely chicken, I said maybe to you but my husband didn’t like it as it had skin on. They were incredibly rude about the whole situation and kept staring at us while me and my mother in law finished our food. He had one bite and asked nicely if he could have a cheese sandwhich instead. They said “rudely” it would be a charge for that sandwhich still and an extra charge on top for the fresh one. We at this point were quite annoyed with the treatment and said don’t worry, leave it. The Waitress then came out, and because we explained we shouldn’t have to pay because had one bite she rudely went “well” tutted and walked off. The whole service here is extremely poor. There was 3 of us eating and saw the pink crispy bits that were clearly skin! We were very polite about it and was met with nothing but rudeness and snobby staff/owners. The bread on the sandwhich was stale anyway, with dried tomatoes and tiny amount of rocket. Over £7 and you don’t even get crisps or a good amount of fresh salad with it. We did mention we would leave this review, as that’s what a review section is for, and we got “oh yeah we will reply to it” so I look forward to your reply Emma and...

We stopped at the Blue Door on our way to the ferry. It was quite hot and we were offered water for our dog which was very thoughtful and also allowed to come in out of the sun, also very thoughtful. My wife and I had the full English which left us very comfortably fed, we had our 4 year old daughter with us who wasn't feeling very well in the heat so we didn't order for her saying she could have a few bits off our plate if she felt like it. An empty plate quickly appeared for her if she wanted anything (which she did - all my bacon!). So all in all we were very well fed and extremely well looked after, these guys really care about their customers, we will be back to try more from the menu, thank...

If you’re looking for a big, freshly made, fruity scone with clotted cream and jam served with a nice fresh pot of tea, then you need to try this place. We almost walked straight past but then we saw the scones and decided to stop and try them. Absolutely delicious! We have tried many scones on the Island but these are one of the best!! Very large, crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Gorgeous! The service was also excellent, very friendly and welcoming and the price was good too. You must stop and give this place a try. We will most definitely...
