Great little secluded beach. We visited after being told by the locals of the Sri Lankan curry served from the beach cafe. (5pm-7pm) We were not disappointed! Amazing curry. Served on proper plates with cutlery to take onto the beach. £10pp and worth It! (Gluten & dairy free with either meet or veggie option) Get there early as they queue all the way up the hill and often sell out before 7pm. It's a shingle beach so do take a decent picnic blanket. Just to be aware that the nearest toilet stop is back at woolacombe beach so make sure you plan ahead. We parked at woolacombe esplanade so nearby anyway. If you arrive after 4pm then parking is only £3. Perfect way to spend an evening with a lovely ice cream to finish it off! And a note for those visiting with kids and may not want a curry. You have a choice of Currys, either meat or veg, the meat one is £9.95, don't know about the veg one, the cafe is not licensed but you can take your own alcohol onto the beach. The curry is served daily 5-7pm or until it runs out, it is really popular in the summer/holiday months. The parking up on the main road is free during the week until the 1st June, only paying at weekends and bank holidays. Dogs are allowed but must be on a lead.
