We went in for gelatos and were served by such a rude girl. We were obviously deciding on flavours and she kept asking us for our order. I can understand speeding us up if it was busy but we were the only customers in there. Then we asked how many scoops in the waffle cone which she made out to be the most stupid of questions. Followed up by serving the ice cream cone without gloves, nor a napkin wrapped around the cone nor did we see her wash her hands. The first time I've been served an ice cream cone without a thought of good hygiene. We asked for the second cone to be wrapped in a napkin. She huffed and said that this is the way she was told to it by management. Then she dramatically threw the second cone in the bin, went to get napkins and dramatically wrapped the napkin around the cone at eye height to display that she was doing it. I've never encountered such a ridiculous attitude in hospitality. I've now read the other reviews and seen similar comments. Why is she still there??
The ice cream was OK but I wouldn't go back to be treated with...
Read moreInsanely good ice creams and baked goods. So gutted we only found this place today on our last day in Woolacombe because it's the best ice cream we've had in the area all week while we've been on holiday. I was torn between so many different flavours to choose from, but I went in for a scoop of pistachio and a scoop of NY lime cheesecake. Oh my word, the pistachio was crammed full of chopped nuts and had a gorgeous flavour. I was expecting the lime cheesecake to be more on the tangy side because it had chunky pieces of lime zest in it, but with the biscuit cheesecake base mixed in and the ice cream itself, it was a smooth and tasty ride. I tried a bit of my wife's tiramisu, which tasted like heavenly creamy coffee and my son's bubblegum, which was full on in your face flavour and painted his whole mouth blue 😂 Stop by this place if you're passing and fancy something sweet it's...
Read moreWe popped in here to get some pasties for our drive back home. What a find! The children had delicious ice creams. The Reese’s peanut butter ice cream was very good. We got a selection of pasties, our favourite was Chicken & Leek, it was so lovely. Second favourite was Steak in Gravy. Then the others that we got that were nice, but not as delicious as the above two were Creamy Chicken (nope, go for the chicken and leek!) Cheese, Onion & Potato (nice-just not as special as the above ones) Giant Cornish (was quite nice!) We also got a set of scones with cream & jam. I have never ever had such fluffy, delicious scones! I didn’t know scones could be so lovely! They have big piles of fruit ones or plain ones, then the sets in the fridge Lovely shop, highly recommend! We shall...
