A Regrettably Disappointing Visit – Be Warned I feel it's important to share our experience to hopefully prevent others from encountering the same frustration. Our recent visit was, regrettably, very disappointing. First and foremost, the wait times were outrageous. We were initially told a 50-minute wait for a table of two, with no option to book in advance. After nearly an hour of waiting, we were told our table would be ready "soon." However, once we were finally able to order, we faced an additional 1 hour and 15 minute wait for our food to arrive. The atmosphere was equally problematic. If you're hoping to eat outside, be prepared for a constant stream of chain-smokers. Inside, the noise level was akin to a nightclub, with blaring music and shouting making it incredibly difficult to hold a conversation, even with those at our own table. The bar staff also seemed overwhelmed and barely acknowledged customers. It was evident that the staff are overworked and severely mismanaged. They appeared to be receiving conflicting instructions, leading to a chaotic environment. (Kudos to the front-of-house staff member who was trying their best to manage the huge influx of people.) Lastly, let's talk about the prices, which are frankly extortionate. It's as if we were In London ! the cost of both food and drinks was astronomically high, far exceeding the average prices found at other...

We decided to visit this restaurant / bar because of the generally good reviews. However our experience wasn't so great unfortunately. We arrived not long after 7:30pm and the first thing we did was ask what time the kitchen closed and if there were any issues ordering food as we had young kids. I was advised the kitchen closed at 9pm and there were no issues ordering food. Imagine my surprise then, when I went to order the food at the bar 15 minutes later and was told that the kitchen had closed due to a back log of orders (50 apparently, although I would be surprised if there were even 50 people in the bar), and I should come back in about 20 minutes to see if the kitchen had reopened. I asked if I returned to the bar with my order in 20 minutes would I be guaranteed any food as I had young kids, and they couldn't guarantee that the kitchen would reopen. It was a case of having to wait and see what happens! I found the attitude of the barman unhelpful, although his female colleague was much more understanding (and helpful) that we needed to know if we might have to go elsewhere for food. Such a shame as the bar itself was nice, the menu had loads of options (including kids choices), and the food we did see being served to other customers looked pretty good. But can't comment on what it tasted like as we had to go elsewhere....

Absolutely amazing!

We visited twice on a rainy holiday day in April, the first in the afternoon for a drink and then we returned again in the evening. As a very honest review in the daytime when we popped in the drinks were 10/10 (probably on the more expensive side but we love a properly served drink so it definitely didn’t put us off returning). The only thing that could have made our experience was more attentive staff, when we left they all had their back to us on their phones so we couldn’t say by or thank them for our drinks. There was no acknowledgment we’d left! We popped back in the evening and the place was so busy which was amazing, drinks were again delicious and we weren’t particularly hungry but ended up ordering 2 of their delicious salads after seeing them served to the table next to us - the best salads we’d ever had!! Highly recommended, lovely decor and we would...

Stopped in the Jube after a day out with the family near by, a little bit of a wait for food but it was very busy at high season and we were fully cautioned of the possible wait before ordering the staff were very friendly and found us a table after 5-10 mins, the food was worth the wait . I had the piggy Mac n cheese which was delicious, partner went with the tex mex chilli which she really enjoyed ,children had the Mac n cheese from the kids menu which they really enjoyed, partner washed it down with afew cocktails which she loved and kids cocktails the woolacombe sunrise was a great hit ... Nice atmosphere can't wait to visit again

Great little pub, tucked around a little back street in the centre of Woolacombe, definately worth seeking out. Staff were so friendly and attentive. We had to wait five minutes at the door to get a table, but it was Saturday lunch time and the staff made us feel really welcome with our dogs. Great choice of food on the menu, service was quite quick but not pushy, and our gorgeous food arrived quite quickly after ordering. Both meals were decent portion sizes, all looked very fresh and tasted excellent. Great busy atmosphere, dogs very welcome, would definately recommend and we would go back next time we're in the area, loved it.
