Could be much much better if the council put some effort into keeping it clean. Broken bottles and glass often posed a danger to our dog. And sharp dangerous ripped drinks cans were never removed when the grass was cut. As a couple who lived near the site, It was useful as a dog excercise area, but we had to keep a look out for potential paw cutting debris, and often collected one sometimes two full bags of litter. Castle?? It's a joke!! Council need to make the site more interesting. It's like seeing a sign for a sweet shop and all that's inside is a blob of chewing gum...
Read moreBeautiful bit of land where allegedly the castle was. This was allegedly to housed Henry VIII for a night or two and was mainly inhabited by the bishop of Lincoln. Great area for a change of scenery for the dog. There isn't a lot to do but if you've reached that time of life where a natural area gets you going. This is a great for you.
