Just had an amazing penne arrabiata and cabonara at The Italian Connection. Ant the owner knew instinctively what I wanted when I said I loved my meal hot and spicy but not too spicy that it was too hot. The cabonara was just awesome, and the red wine recommendation was just perfect. If you want a proper lush authentic Italian dish in Sleaford you have to check out The Italian Connection. Warm friendly welcome, feel at home atmosphere, awesome amazing value for money, a spectacular portions and selection of authentic Italian dishes, fine wines, beverages and sweets, veggies and vegans catered for it's a resounding 1000/1000 from me and the wife. I had nice steak dinner few nights ago. I would have giving 5 stars if I haven't been overcharged. I had sirloin with sauce which is £17.90 on their website menu. But been charged £19.90 and when I said something I been told that prices changed but menu on their website wasn't updated and girl said she isn't boss and can't do anything about it. No apologies, nothing, didn't seem bothered to overcharging me. But I know it's not her fault, but she should be able to deal with things like that if she is left in alone. First time we have been to the restaurant, the usual chef was on leave and the manager was chef in the kitchen. One seafood main arrived and after a 15 minute wait the 2nd main arrived. Waited another 5 minutes for the final one to arrive but no sides. Asked to speak to the manager and had to go to the pass to speak with him only to be ignored for 10 minutes. The waitress was blamed for the poor service which was not her fault as she can only bring food that is given to her at the time.
