The Staithe Gallery — Attraction in North Norfolk

Thank you very much to David for the unique bookends he created for my son's 18th birthday. When I first discussed the idea with David, he was helpful and offered a range of options. The final product included materials from HMS Victory and Blenheim oak. While on holiday in Wells, my son thought he was having a browse in the Gallery looking at the HMS Victory collection. David had thoughtfully displayed the final product on a prominent stand and my son whispered to me how wonderful to own those. It was a lovely moment to tell him they were for him. We hope you can reopen again before long and look forward to visiting...

Called in the gallery mainly to look at the 'Evidence of Trafalgar' exhibition. David, co-owner of the gallery, was more than happy to talk about Trafalgar and HMS Victory; his enthusiasm is infectious and it was fascinating to see all the pieces for sale, that he'd made from the re-claimed timber and copper, taken off Victory during her restoration. The gallery is much more than this though, with a diverse collection of art, from pottery and sculpture, to paintings both abstract and landscape... the beach/seascapes are especially atmospheric. Definitely...

Visited the Gallery whilst at Wells, David was there in the Gallery and was so helpful and knowledgable. He was so friendly and forth coming with telling me extra information regarding the items in the Gallery especially on the Victory. I could have spent the whole day there.

I would highly recommend if you are in Wells to pop and see the Gallery. I ended coming out with a couple of items, and I am sure I will be back again and keep in touch. Once again...
