I always love going to the arcade its got beautiful shops in thier and theres a little cafe inside as well. Plus it did have Langleys but that's gone. There now a chocolate show a small one in there too. Shoe shop I believe for kids/children but not sure if that's still open. Macaroon shop at the end near the old Jamie's Italian which is also gone. Just about 3 or 4 shops open at the Royal arcade. It's peaceful to in there not many people go through in the evening but more during the day. Around Norwich we have as well the dinosaurs 🦕 scattered around so go go dinosaurs 🦕. Not far from the Norwich castle museum either just across the road. If you like your history or art, animal not alive but stuffed. My favourite in there is the bear 🐻 Asiant Egyptian with a mummy in its box too in the museum. There's also a teapot area too with a 1000 or more teapot from probably around the world. Even have Norwich dungeons as well. So many things...

I have been walking through the Royal Arcade in the city center—mostly as a shortcut—for over 30 years. It’s only recently that I stopped to truly appreciate its classic Victorian architecture, featuring a stunning glass roof that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for shoppers.

The Royal Arcade is home to a variety of independent boutiques, gift shops, cafés, and specialty stores, making it a favorite destination for unique shopping experiences. Today, I enjoyed a delightful lunch at Marmalades, a popular café and restaurant.

If you make it to Norwich, seeing the Royal Arcade after touring the castle is a must. Everything about this town has its own character. Every curve of every beam, and every cobblestone street. I couldn’t even tell you the shops that are in the Arcade, because I was too busy admiring the beauty of it all. I could walk around this town forever and still feel like I hadn’t seen it all. So glad I was able to stop in and see this beautiful place!

A beautiful Edwardian arcade. It's a delightful stroll through the arcade, resplendent with Edwardian architecture and an Arts and Crafts influenced floor. Sadly, either the landlords are too greedy, Covid is having a terrible impact on our nation of shopkeepers or hidden development plans are afoot, as many units lie empty. This is a shame, as this would be a really lovely shopping experience otherwise.
