I had wanted to come here for a long time, having heard good things and seen friends’ photos of a wonderful array of colourful and healthy food options! Safe to say I was not disappointed! Despite some items being sold out, I enjoyed a lovely Middle Eastern salad & my partner said it was the best toastie he’d ever had, which is praise indeed. Staff lovely as well. Plenty of veggie/vegan options, but halal options would be great too if possible! 10/10 lovely experience. With the weather today in the lovely garden out the back it felt like we were abroad! Will definitely be back. Thanks again.

What a find! Fabulous salad (which you personalise to your own taste with multiple options), beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. Would have loved to also be able to order some fresh bread to go with it, which they don’t offer, but will definitely be coming again and I loved that there were multiple outdoor tables available, especially as the weather was lovely. The staff were also very friendly, helpful & welcoming, which for me is just as important as the quality of the food. Milk & Sugar is a fantastic addition to Pontcanna and I highly recommend it. :)

Popped into this Pontcanna cafe recently - we've been meaning to go for some time, but it's been busy. We managed to get a table, but on our own at the rear, away from the sunny street or front, which is why the atmosphere score is lower, but the space is nice enough. Great menu, order was taken promptly and enthusiastically. Some great 80/90's music playing which helped with the wait (they were very busy). We ordered two breakfasts which, as you can see, were really plentiful and well made and tasty. So many options for a great breakfast/brunch in Pontcanna!

Milk and Sugar has quickly become my favourite spot in the city. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The incredible staff and waiters make you feel right at home, always attentive and genuinely friendly, which sets the tone for an amazing experience every time.

The food here is simply delicious. I've tried everything from their hearty breakfasts to their delectable desserts, and each dish is a culinary delight. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and put a lot of thought into their menu. Every bite feels like a treat.

The layout of the cafe is fantastic. There are cozy corners for intimate chats and open spaces perfect for larger gatherings. The modern yet comfortable decor creates a relaxed ambiance that's perfect for unwinding. It's clear they've put a lot of effort into making the space welcoming and versatile.

One of my favourite things about Milk and Sugar is the coffee. As a coffee enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for a great brew, and the baristas here are top-notch. Whether I'm in the mood for a strong espresso or a creamy latte, they never disappoint. You can really taste the quality and care they put into each cup.

Milk and Sugar is also an excellent spot for both work and socializing. With free Wi-Fi, plenty of seating, and lots of power outlets, it's perfect for getting some work done. At the same time, the friendly vibe and communal tables make it a great place to meet new people or catch up with friends.

In short, Milk and Sugar is more than just a cafe to me – it’s a community hub where everything comes together perfectly. The incredible staff, delicious food, fantastic layout, and amazing coffee create an exceptional experience every time. Whether I’m working, relaxing, or catching up with friends, this is my go-to place. Highly...

Arrived just after 2pm today, shown to our table promptly and given the menus. When we were asked what we would like to order , I asked for the soup on the special board - k not available and husband requested the turkey, cranberry and brie sandwich, again not available. Nothing was mentioned when we initially sat down with the menus. Husband ordered a tuna toastie and drinks for both. Drinks arrived within minutes. Twenty minutes later no sign of the tuna toastie, we asked where it was to be told it was on its way. I would like to mention here that there was one other occupied table in the cafe at this point and they were already finished with their food. Ten minutes passed, we asked again to be told that the original toastie has been made but as the bread had been cut too thinly it had collapsed and the kitchen staff were making another one. The whole time we were in the Milk and Sugar the kitchen sounded busy with blenders working but no food coming out? We paid for two soft drinks but so disappointed with the customer service and avoidance of explaining why the food advertised was unavailable and the toastie that never made its way of the kitchen. You certainly made it clear that you didn’t really care or bothered...

over a half hour wait (closer to an hour actually) for a poached egg and avocado on toast. the place wasn't even full. four youngsters idly taking orders, cleaning and thoroughly wiping dishes glasses and silverware and two people "cooking" (one of them busy toasting bread) when a man who had arrived ten minutes after me was served his two poached eggs on toast with tchatchouka, before i had seen any food, i decided enough was enough and i got up, paid for my tea and left. no one apologised for the very long wait nor for serving that other customer before me in spite my order was quicker and easier to prepare. and the girl who finally took my payment was almost rude to me. how long does it take to pay two eggs toast a slice of bread and spread mashed avocado on it? (5 minutes in the place where i finally ate, down the road). when you don't have the staff nor the room to cook, you just serve coffees and cakes. you don't pretend to...
