Mallaig Pool & Leisure — Attraction in Scotland

Unfreindly staff,cold pool cold showers in male changing. When for "fun hour" advitised as inflatable/ bouncy island in pool floats toy in pool. Turned up paid (expensive!) told yes its fun hour but there not putting the inflatable out as there isnt enough people, so asked so is it fun hour or not we are paying for? As we have 3 children. answer yes but no inflatable until there is over 10 in pool....OK well we are here now. Found there was already six in the pool (5+6=11), Ok so now put out inflatable. No they will be going before the end of the hour! Ok. so now kids will just play on floats etc.(in the FUN HOUR) Fun hour ended (didn't think it had actually been started) attendant collects in all toys and floats from pool even the float our 3yr old is playing on.....! In short DO NOT BOTHER, unfriendly, shy of the work staff to whom pool users are a annoyance which interferes with there walking round the pool...

Popped in for a swim, sauna and a shower after a few nights wild camping out on Knoydart. Just what I needed. The place is small and basic, as you might expect for somewhere of Mallaig's size, but all the facilities are all clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and welcoming too. Not sure what the one star reviews are about - this...

Here looking for bad weather alternative. Staff good and trying hard, but aged building doesn’t lend itself to hygiene. Sauna comfortably sits three, advertised “jacuzzi” small and filled with children ages 5-10 - eye blistering smell of 1:1 chlorine:urine mix. Reminiscent of state facilities in Eastern Europe...
