The Savoy shopping centre its now been Glasgow for good few years. Is this style of shopping still in demand. Yes it is local retailers in Savoy offer real personal service. Its always worth while going in for look to check out whats in store. Some local traders do offer some great deals. The place coupld do with we bit more TLC thats why gave 3. image was taken in Sept.

Always come here when I come to Glasgow and always find it interesting here and full of life and things to see. Very much and old style market feel to this place, with lots of character.

I genuinely love this place and its decadent, Blade-Runner-esque atmosphere.

There is an exceptional Chinese restaurant upstairs called Olive Tree that is well worth the visit, but only if you ask for the genuine, real Chinese secret menu (you'll have to come with a Chinese friend or understand the language, though).

You will find no windows here - not that you need any because the everlasting incandescent tube light is part of the Savoy experience.

This is also the place to buy a wig in Glasgow, or lightbulbs, pet food, second hand books, copy your keys and until recently sporting equipment for martial arts, among many other things... Keep in mind that shops change quite often, so every time you go you may find a few surprises, but at the same time your favourite ones might be gone without prior notice, turning some visits to the Savoy Centre into a thought-provoking, existentialist ordeal.

I was in today and shocked and how many empty stalls. What is going on? What stalls are there are not upto much. Baby shop away, card shop away, butchers away. The news savoy is eventually closing really seems more reality with each day. Certainly no longer the same.

Sadly had started going down hill before COVID/ Street work, and trying to make it up market has failed.

Not going sign when majority of units are...
