Designer Waxing — Local services in Great Britain

Visited yesterday for my first ever Hollywood wax and 2nd ever underarm/leg wax - how I've reached the ripe old age of 33 with that being the case I don't know. I was definitely nervous upon arrival but I was put at ease by the immaculate and professional interior of the salon and the calming demeanour of Emma at reception. I was taken in by Elly - whose warmth and understanding made me feel much less anxious. She helped to diminish and normalise any of my worries without invalidating anything I spoke about, she worked efficiently and meticulously to make quite an invasive and vulnerable treatment seem totally bearable, even enjoyable (just about!). Elly explained what she was doing before carrying it out, guided me through the breathing techniques and chatted away throughout, distracting me and entertaining all of my inane questions. The consistent communication really made a huge difference in allowing me to settle into the discomfort and the time to fly by. Elly made sure to preserve my dignity at all stages of the appointment too which was so important for me particularly as someone who is very insecure about their body. The temperature in the room was lovely and cool which was ideal as I tend to overheat quickly (you are going to sweat regardless, and things like this which felt so awkward in my mind, felt so trivial and insignificant by the end). I was a bit delirious after heading back to reception (a combination of my body seizing up, ill-advised latte beforehand, hunger pangs and 1.5 hours of intense sensations) so I couldn't quite form a coherent sentence when I was ready to pay and rebook, but I couldn't recommend the experience enough. I was accommodated so well and really do feel liberated and empowered for having done it (that may sound like an exaggeration to some, but not if you've been plagued by stubborn excess hair your whole life, which has unfortunately dictated a lot of things for you and decimated your confidence). I'm kicking myself for not starting my waxing journey sooner, but am already prepared for the ongoing commitment and excited to see what results I can achieve further down the line. My lower legs have a lot of stubble from below surface level hairs that couldn't be waxed this time around, but I was fully expecting this. I'm astonished at the softness of my underarms and intimate area in particular, AND the minimal irritation involved. I never want to see a razor in my bathroom cabinet again. To anybody who was in my position, terrified of giving waxing a go and grappling with the fear of the unknown: just do it, you won't regret it. From the moment I walked into the salon, everything was perfect. I was greeted with a big smile at reception by Elly and was asked to kindly wait in the waiting area. When it came to my appointment time, Elly showed me inside and asked a few key questions relating to the consultation form which I filled in earlier. Once Elly wad satisfied she began my waxing treatment. Elly explained everything perfectly and I actually fell asleep during my treatment. Once Elly was finished my waxing, she checked and inspected every area before she was satisfied. She explained my aftercare and suggested when it would be beneficial for me to return for waxing. Designer waxing as a whole is amazing, I've been a good few times now, and every one of the girls I have had doing my treatment has been amazing. The consistency of them all is amazing they all do the exact same thing, which is good because it means I don't need to be worried about who I make an appointment with. I would go with anyone in there who is available because Ryleigh, Elly & Jade were all amazing, and my results were as good as the next. I can't fault any of the girls they're brilliant!
