My friend lost her phone. I was told be a security guard to keep back from the bar when I was trying to ask if a phone had been handed in.
When I asked a different security guard how I could make a complaint, they laughed in my face.
Anyone less persistent would have lost that phone for good.they are a great place but their security disregards human decency.
The man who laughed at me knows he did wrong because when I tried to go back up to find my drunk friend, another guard was asking me questions about who I was complaint about, and the guard who laughed at me initially, told him to shush and just let me up.
It's not on. I was not drunk and disorderly I was relatively sober and trying to find my drunk friend's phone and I was not able too because one security guard kept telling me away from the bar (it wasn't even closed) when all I was trying to do was ask if a phone had been handed in. When the bar staff confirmed that a phone had been handed in the security guard did not apologise in any way shape or form.

Read moreOn the 29.4.22 I was in this bar and had realised I lost my wallet. I had asked the bar if they had anything handed in/if they could keep and eye out for it. I then went to check the toilet. I asked the attendant if he had seen my wallet and he told me not to accuse him of theft, his defensive nature made me suspicious. My wallet was then found after about five minutes after this encounter but the cash content was missing. The bouncer then proceeded to throw me out the bar because I was suspicious of the attendant. As I was being vacated off the premisis the bouncer began to taunt me and began displaying very provocative behavior.
The situation with the wallet is annoying, but the treatment I recieved from the bouncer was shocking and reflects badly on this venue. There is clearly a lack of customer care and empathy
Definately will never...

This isn't a one start review that's trying to get revenge after being thrown out of this pub, I personally wasn't thrown out, but I did witness the door staff singling out the non whites from groups and refusing them entry. It may well be legal to "reserve the right to refuse service" and make the excuse "it's our job to make sure there's no trouble" but when your door staff are refusing entry to a particular proportion of the population in such a transparent way, then the owners need to think harder about who they are hiring and what kind of message they are sending.
From my experience, it seems that Malone's Irish bar in Glasgow is racist. I expect better from people who should know what it's like to be discriminated against because of where...
