We booked to see Dune 2 at Sheffield at 10:40am and we booked via the app. One ticket was purchased and another was with the unlimited card. We had forgotten the unlimited card and didn’t realise until we were there but we weren’t too fussed as we have been coming for years and never needed to show the card before. When we went to scan the tickets we were asked for the card and we had advised how we had forgotten it. We were pulled to the side and the manager was called over. The manager in question was very defensive from the beginning, her opening comment was “if you don’t have your card we can’t let you in” and so I said ok I want a refund then if you’re not allowing us in (just because she was really blunt with us for no reason being very reluctant to help us). She then proceeded to say if you can show me your unlimited account or invitation email from when you signed up then we can allow you in. We spent 10 minutes showing her the account, searching for the email and then showing her the email with all of our details on it for the manager to say “oh well there is no picture on these so I can’t let you in” she then asked if we had ID and we said no because we forgotten the wallet to which the manager shrugged and said “well I can’t let you in then .” I asked what the issue was as we have never had this happen before and the manager didn’t answer my question but instead decided to recite their terms and conditions at us. Her attitude was so poor I interrupted her to tell her to stop lecturing us because she was talking down to us like we were children. She then just walked away. We are 30 and don’t need to be spoken to like that, not to mention it is extremely unprofessional especially as a manager. As I had already paid for my ticket and the manager had the worst customer service skills in South Yorkshire we decided to just buy another ticket to watch the film which defeats the object of having an unlimited card. The staff felt so awkward about how we were dealt with that they apologised to us on their managers behalf because it made them feel uncomfortable and they were shocked at the poor treatment. I didn’t have an issue with forgetting the card which meant we had to buy another ticket I understand that’s just how it is, my issue was how rude the manager was to us for no reason. She offered no explanation about clamping down on having to present your unlimited cards, she spoke to us like trash from the get go and did not provide us with an alternative option she just jumped straight to refusing us. I wish I got her name as I feel she could do with some extra training on how to deal with customers and she should certainly not be a manager if that is her attitude when she needs to do her job or maybe if small situations like this are an inconvenience maybe she is in the wrong job. We have both now cancelled our unlimited cards and it’s safe to say that we will not be returning. With attitudes like that it’s not wonder Cineworld is going...

Cine World Sheffield's ambiance and facilities were top-notch. The theater's modern and comfortable seating arrangements provided a perfect vantage point for the breathtaking visuals and riveting storytelling that unfolded on the screen. The well-maintained surroundings and excellent acoustics further enhanced the immersive movie-watching experience.
Now, let's talk about the movie itself. "Oppenheimer" was a cinematic masterpiece that skillfully portrayed the life and work of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the brilliant physicist behind the creation of the atomic bomb. The film's powerful narrative delved deep into the complexities of Oppenheimer's character, capturing the ethical dilemmas and moral conflicts he faced during those pivotal times.
The casting and performances were nothing short of extraordinary. The actors brought an incredible level of authenticity to their roles, making the characters feel real and relatable. Read moreOn Thursday 16th Feb my wife and I took our kids to Cineworld to watch Avatar 2 for our daughters birthday. We paid £97 for our tickets as we choose to watch it on screen x where the movie goes up both sides, as well as the main screen.
The whole atmosphere of going to the cinema has gone, you are better off waiting until the movie comes out on blu ray.
There were from what we could see only two people on the food service area and one person checking you have your tickets or QR code.
So customer service is no longer a value at cineworld.
Whats sad is the over priced sweets £3.50 for a small bag of sweets. Its a money racquet no longer about the family fun experience its all about give us your money.
We bought our kids the avatar drink cup which was £3 each, we expected when we ordered our drinks for the service assistant to pour our drinks into.
Unfortunately that was too much to ask, we were told its their company policy that they could not pour drinks into the cups they sell us as they have not been washed through.
Why could she not of rinsed under the tap? Its a joke.
We ordered 8 drinks and was served only 6 because the girl who served us forgot how many drinks she sold us and messed up the order and stood there with a smirk on her face as she stood and watched us trying to pour our drinks into the cups we bought.
We were charged £128.00 For 8 drinks, 3 large hotdogs and 3 small, 4 pop corn with one bag of sweets.
We spent £225 in total to watch a movie and have some snacks what a rip off its a joke.
When we got into the movie it kept going out of focus the screen x experience is a joke as the picture along the side walls not a screen is all out of focus.
We will not be back here and recommend everyone save your money and wait for the movie to come out on blu ray.
Whats the point of spending all that money for a mediocre experience.
What a...
