Ancient woodlands great for dog walking, be sure to check out Rivelin pub for great beers and food. This walk is a few miles long through native woodlands. Plenty of wild life and Herons in the river. There is a popular plunge pool near up to the carpark at the A57 junction, although this is probably one of the worst wild swim spots around. The water is filthy and if the area ever floods all types of sewage and contaminants are in the water. .... BUT!! ....the walk is very nice and you can easily head out to open country and up to the Dams from this spot with free parking and decent facilities including the Rivelin Cafe for a good...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Rivelin valley Park. We walked alongside the river on the trails and over the stepping stones. The kids played in the playground too. There is plenty of picnic ground to sit in with some benches but plenty of space for blankets. I think on a nice day you could definitely spend hours here playing in the...

A...
