As an Italian student in Sheffield for the past three years, Paesani Pizzeria has truly become my home away from home. Their pizzas are authentic and consistently top-quality, made with fresh, premium ingredients that remind me of Italy. The fritto misto is always a hit, perfect for sharing with friends or family. I also can’t recommend the desserts enough—they’re absolutely delicious, and the Aperol Spritz is always spot on. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Whether I’m enjoying a cozy dinner with my girlfriend or bringing family along, Paesani offers the perfect atmosphere. They’re always on time with deliveries, and the experience never fails to impress. For anyone in Sheffield looking for a genuine Italian dining experience, Paesani is a must!

As the Italian Society at the University of Sheffield, we can confidently say that Paesani Pizzeria is our go-to spot for authentic Italian cuisine in the city. The pizzas are made the traditional way, with top-quality ingredients that truly capture the essence of Italy. From the soft crust to the rich, flavorful toppings, every bite feels like a taste of home. But it’s not just about the pizzas—there’s a fantastic variety of other dishes to enjoy, all full of flavor. Their desserts are a must-try, and the Aperol Spritz is always spot on. The cozy atmosphere, combined with the warm, welcoming staff, makes every visit feel like a true Italian experience. For anyone craving a genuine Italian meal, Paesani is highly recommended!

There are a wide range of panini in Italy but puccia, that's a completely different story. You need to have a master in the kitchen. What's great of Paesani is the way they cook pizzas and puccias. When you eat them you have the taste of burned wood on the back of tongue and then you look at you fingers and you see flour on your fingers. Capricciosa and pizza with friarielli are great. Mention on puccia: everything of it is perfect, is soft inside and a bit crunchy outside. All products are fresh and a clear result of a lot of work. Stracciatella is so milky. Fried fiori di zucca are delicate and properly buttered. Tartufo alla nocciola.. I don't know how you make it but that is great!!! Well done guys!!!

Great pizza and a good wine list make Paesani a good choice when you're craving pizza

The restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere and everyone enjoyed themselves.

This would have been a 5⭐ review but there were one or two disappointing things:

The Antipasti salads just weren't great - neither the Burrata or Caprese had basil with them, the Olive Oil didn't make an appearance and the tomatoes were neither rainbow nor sliced. They were in fact very cold cherry tomatoes that set your teeth on edge.

The service was slow and disjointed with the food, especially the pizzas, seeming to arrive quite randomly. We were a party of 3 and after waiting quite a while the antipasti salads appeared just two or 3 minutes before two of the pizzas while the other pizza came more than 5 minutes later.

Overall Paesani is a good local restaurant that serves great pizzas but seems to be a victim of it's own success. Take away orders were constantly going out of the door which was probably why the pizzas for diners didn't arrive when they probably...

We booked the table a months in advance for 7pm for 5 people to get there and be told to wait outside for 15 minutes in the cold and wet. While we was trying to sort out with the women our booking the door had to remain open due to lack of space leaving other customers to become angry with us before we had even sat down making us feel uncomfortable. When we finally got in to sit down the women then asked us if it was 4 people and I confirmed the booking on my phone and said it was for 5 this lead to her sticking a chair onto the end of the table in a small restaurant that hardly has no room to begin with. This is when my friends who’s birthday it was got up and decided to go and look for somewhere elsewhere to eat as the service was not up to scratch. This is clearly an overbooked restaurant and the staff clearly don’t seem to care about people waiting around for them. I won’t be returning and will advise other people...
