Typical park cafe. Same as many others. The best thing is the toilets next door. The only toilets for many miles if you are walking up the valley. The Rivelin valley is in my view the best of all those in Sheffield. Many different paths and tracks to follow. Be aware that some can be steep and others go across stepping stones. Get a good map. We took a lesser used route to the top of the valley to the reservoir then took a steep path up to Lodge Moor with its buses and pubs. But do plan your route carefully. It's a magical walk. Take your time. A short ramble up the valley then back to the café may be just enough.

Very welcoming, warm, friendly cafe, serving delicious cakes, drinks and snacks all at affordable prices. Lovely wood burning stove in colder weather and decorations, and clean everywhere! I would highly recommend this place to anyone walking in the Rivelin Valley area any time of year.

Literally best food ever, not what I was expecting when I sat down. Had the stilton and broccoli quiche with a raspberry smoothie. It was so good I stopped eating to review.

2x hot drinks ( large) , 2x 2 scoop ice creams + 2 large chocolate flapjack pieces - £22. Iced latte -£3.50 very tasty. Good size. Jacket potato (large ) with cheese & baked beans (+ decent side salad)in a box - £5. Very tasty , good portion, well cooked. Fresh.

Reasonable priced food - various sandwiches & cooked food available. Kids meals as well.

Good system using individual buzzers for customers waiting for food. Meaning you could sit at your, tables until "called". The reality was the staff generally brought the food on a regular basis as it was ready. Staff working well, pleasant , well mannered & helpful. Busy ,busy .. but seats inside & out. Nice clean environment. Cutlery ( both wooden & steel) & various condiments available at different 'stations' . Stations were clean as well.- So no attraction for rodents or wasps/flies. Toilets nearby were clean & usable. Bins not overflowing despite being a busy day.

Near to the Rivelin Water park & the trail itself. Fleece blankets available inside for colder days. Nice grassed area nearby to sit aswell.

Flat level entrance so wheelchair accessible. Wide walkways. Slight gradient from the main road/ parking.

Highly Recommended. Would definitely...

Horrible cafe staff. Ruined our day out by just constantly nagging to us. We bought some food from them and when we sat to eat we were told we can bring food from outside. Only because we had a bag with us that said food on it. We explained the bag has sanitary and nappies inside it. We were just reusing a bag. But no apparently she had Xray vision and kept saying no I can see through the bag. We asked her to check inside the bag but she said I don't have to I can see it's food and insist that you can't sit here. So we went outside and she just followed us and kept repeating herself. And kept saying it says food on the bag. If I had a bag that JD sport on it, does that mean I want to start exercising in the cafe? Why would be bring food and buy food there as well.

Horrible Horrible person with a nasty personality. Had to leave with our 4 years old crying because he wanted to sit outside with other kids and everyone one looking at us like we did something wrong. Embarrassing! Didn't even eat what we...

Where do I start!!! Visited on Sunday 2nd April and I don't think we will be going again. Have been previously and it was lovely, but not today. The staff are all in their late teens and are completely overwhelmed. Sunday is a very busy day and they only had one person on in the kitchen. We ordered our usual order of 4 fish finger sandwiches with only one of those with tartar sauce, salad and coleslaw. They overcharged me by £14 and I had to add that up for them. I had to ask twice where our food was and after 45 minutes it appeared. Unfortunately they all had tartar sauce, coleslaw and salad in which three of us don't like. So I requested a full refund. They need an experienced person on so she can trouble shoot and teach the others. We weren't the only people to cancel orders or have there change calculated...
