San Lorenzo restaurant — Restaurant in Sheffield

Following from my boyfriends review posted on here not even an hour ago. Since the review went online, my boyfriend received a phone call from the owner of this restaurant shouting and threatening due to the simple fact that we posted a bad review. Nothing of what my boyfriend said was a lie and the owner is fully aware of this since before we posted the review, we called him and explained the situation. My boyfriend hung up the call because he didn’t want to have to deal with abuse, while I was throwing up for the third time. I then spoke to the owner myself and he didn’t hear a word of what I said. All he did was shout to the point where I couldn’t hear myself so I hung up the call. This is unacceptable customer service, calling a customer back to shout at them or threaten them simply because they posted a bad review after the mussels that I ate tasted like they came out of a can, is assault. Learn how to run your business properly or at least how to cook food. At this point, I’m done with this. I’ve been throwing up all night and if I hear anything back from this, the police will be aware of what happened tonight. I’m only waiting for another call after this review goes up. Went to this restaurant tonight with my girlfriend, initially we were happy about the fact that we could bring our own wine and enjoy some well rated Italian food. We were the first people in San Lorentz, received some lovely starters with quite a nice atmosphere. We then ordered the daily special (seafood risotto) and Chicken Penne. My main could have been cooked by a teenager, the chicken was dry and thin, the pasta was clearly from a supermarket bag and the sauce left little to be satisfied by. Unfortunately my girlfriends seafood risotto was not cooked properly and she became ill after eating only a very small amount of it. After this I called the manager to tell him and he became very defensive and loud claiming 'its something you ate earlier, my food is fresh, I gave you £9 off your order. Don't give me that, you said it was fine when you were eating it.' I'm very surprised by the dismissiveness of the manager. They did not check on how our main was as the place began to get busier, offered to replace the meal but our trust was gone by then. We never once asked for money off, but we're treated like mugs. Poor service! I went with a group of 20 people for a birthday meal. We were told we had 5minuets to look at the menu and order because there were more customers due to arrive shortly! Garlic bread for stsrter was nice, spinach and ricotta cannelloni for main was very very dry, I did try to get thd waiters attention to ask for sauce but was ignored! I also ordered a drink which never arrived. We didnt even get a opportunity to order a coffee after the meal as we were told 5 minutes to vacate as another party of 20 were booked !

Now whilst all 20 diners were friends of the birthday girl we didnt all particularly know esch other so when the waiter refused to separate the bill and snapped split it 20 ways!! this led to that horrid moment when a large group dines and one person had lobster and another a side salad!!
