Silloth Green is a piece of living history, a previous review by a "Local Guide" states the Green is "a waste of space" UTTER NONSENSE! Such a comment is clearly made by someone that clearly know s nothing about Silloth Green. At times the Green is a quiet place, wonderful for soaking up the history of Silloth, calming and beautiful in all weather, as in days gone by the Green plays host to many fantastic events throughout the year. The arcade is also located on the Green overlooking the sea and Scotland, a truly fun and unique place for people of all ages. The water park is also there for some summer day fun, THEN there's the woodland playground just a short walk from the water park, it's great fun and free too! Don't listen to negative reviews, go to Silloth Green and soak up the atmosphere of this truly unique and beautiful piece of Cumbrian history. You will...

A wonderful, vast green. More than enough room for everyone to play sports and sit down and relax. The green is flanked by a fantastic promenade and a multitude of shops (a decent chippy, fast food shops, ice cream, cafes, handy shops). There's a beautiful church also for those who attend services. Not too far away is the beach (near the harbour). The only negative (hence the 4 stars) is that the council have, wrongly in my opinion, started charging 50 pence just for the privilege of spending a penny. And, you can only use a card for payment. However, the barrier is high enough to go under... but I never...

It's a beautiful space... lovingly looked after... with places to sit and watch the world go by (at gentle pace) or enjoy the view across the Solway... or enjoy an ice-cream and a bite to eat. Dogs are allowed which is wonderful (but to those few irresponsible dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs... you give all of us a bad name and should be ashamed of yourselves). If you're looking for somewhere lovely to spend a few hours without it costing a fortune... Silloth is well worth a visit... and when the sun is shining.. it's a perfect place to pack a picnic and just have...

A beautiful little green that's utilised by the community for events. With stunning gardens full of butterflies and bees, children's playground, picnic area, the Victorian Pagoda, amusement arcade, and toilets 50p by card, including accessibility and a changing room via radar key access. There's plenty of free parking in the promenade car parks and on the streets. The green is accessible from all sides, including the promenade. It's close to the local shops and amenities, as well as the RNLI lifeboat station.

I have been visiting Silloth since I was 7 years old with my family. My uncle had a bungalow in Skinburness and stayed there on holiday several times. Since then me and my brother makes the pilgrimage every couple of years. Even now in my 60's. Like to have a couple of pints in The Balmoral Pub then have a nice meal in The Golf Hotel. Mrs Smith's is a very good place to have your lunch and tea. Lovely walks along the promenade. The kids can be entertained at the amusements or paddling pool or beach.

Nice place on Cumbrias West Coast, lovely playground for kids in a little forest, great views from pagoda, we came during a Bank Holiday festival so had a great time listening to live music. Lovely little village with few coffee shops, arcade. Tide was in so not sure if there's a beach but yu can sit on stairs and admire the views,)
