Sugar — Restaurant in England

Decided to pop in, attracted by the fun decor and atmosphere. Upon entering nobody acknowledged us, so unsure on protocol of waiting to be seated or if we had to seat ourselves (a sign would be handy!) We took ourselves to find a seat, again unsure if we were meant to head to bar to order or not. Ordered food, at about £15 per meal (not including a drink!) Food arrived, one wasn't correct (didn't realise until started eating, but also wasnt very nice) one came with out the extras. Crispy chicken burger was quite greasy. Also had ran out of milkshake. Whilst eating, one family arrived, waited and then left due to not being acknowledged. There was a large drinking party in looking like they were having a great time, which is where all of the member of staffs focus was on making their drinks. We didn't feel comfortable letting them know we were unhappy at the time due to a perceived lack of interest in us as customers. Was visiting silloth last week with the mrs and we found this place on our way back from the beach, and decided to stop for a cocktail.. Best decision ever.. we ended up stopping by the next 3 days. Food wise.. we tried a cheese burger and chicken burger. A pulled pork loaded flatbread. And crispy chicken loaded fries.. was all lovely.. The cocktails were delicious. And were made by realy friendly staff and finished with little edible flowers. the owner even stopped by for a chat.. I couldn't recomend this place highly enough.....

Came here for a late lunch whilst out walking with our 2 dogs. Have to say the staff were so lovely and helpful. They brought over treats and water for our dogs and made a lovely fuss of them. They'd had a rush before we came and had run out of chips but offered my partner wedges instead which he said were nice. My Yorkshire pudding dinner was yummy. Really relaxing atmosphere and so clean, we wouldn't have known they'd been so busy as it was spotless. Will definitely pop in again if we are...
