We went for here for food to be honest when we first walked in I wasn't sure as it is a bit different to where we normally eat it was a little dated, and we were unsure about ordering but we were actually really surprised by the food, my kids loved their burger and chicken curry my daughter even said it was one of the best curries she's had, we had the fish and chips which was lovely and fresh. Two visits here. Both occasions food was good honest pub grub but good portions and tasty. Service a mixed bag, first occasion we were served by a younger staff member and, despite bar being busy she was cheerful and friendly. Last night was quite and the staff member looked as though she would rather be anywhere else. Cab make you feel quite uncomfortable as a diner when simple requests feel like an imposition. This place is deceiving. Went here as a group of 15. It was a 5 minute walk from stanwix holiday park where we was staying. Locals in the bar at the front side of the pub where very friendly. Food was fantastic. Every meal was brilliant. Compliments to the chef. To get 15 meals ready together and every meal to be fantastic is some effort. 15 happy people. Very well priced aswell.
