Steakout Slough — Restaurant in Slough

Absolutely petrified with this experience I had today The worst experience I ever had since visiting this steak out I usually am a regular customer. I usually go every other month with my family firstly I ordered a fillet migeon steak I asked for it to be well done. It came all hard from the outside and had pink blood inside. I had a bite and was like no this is not usually the steak. I always usually come here and never the steak is like this. So I told one of the staff I felt Very unsatisfied as me and my husband couldn’t eat together our food he had to eat his food before mine had to get made again. I waited 40 minutes for the stake then there was missing vegetables and it took them 30 minutes to deliver that the table. on the other side what made my experience even worse They was very rude guy on the grill. He was very rude to the girl saying she wanted a burger to be changed.Sauce due to her child’s requirements. She did mention before to the staff about the sauce in her burger The lady said it doesn’t come with a certain sauce and she took her order and then when the order came, she was petrified because it had a sauce in there which her children was not very keen on having as before she asked the lady which sauce was inside but the lady had no great experience to tell her then after they told The staff to take the burger back and remake it as they had cleared that with the staff member there was a very rude guy he was working in the kitchen on the grill and he replied. It’s not my problem to sort out the sauce It comes like that they should be happy what they are getting, this made my experience Feel even worse as I felt the staff is very rude. I didn’t even feel like sitting and eating my food because of the rudeness was done with another customer. This was very unprofessional situation to see in such a big business. All that needed to be done was a burger needed to be replaced but instead rudeness was done And it made the atmosphere not just for me but a few of the customers felt disappointed by the service That was given by the staff member even they forgot to give me mushroom sauce and he was very rude and said I already gave her the sauce why she keep asking for more free stuff when in the beginning they messed up my steak which I put the sauce on And was not my fault. It was not cooked properly from inside even after when steak was given to me it just tasted very blunt and it was not cooked as well. I was hungry and I had to eat it because I had one small child with me and I could not Eat it very good as my child was very tired and they took so much time to make the steak again and it still came very disgusting . I had to leave half of it and pay for that full price too . I could not explain this experience was just not what expected from steak out the staff was very unprofessional. The service was very bad and I am surprised I had a very bad stomach pain after I had the bite from the first steak bite I feel Like I’ve got something wrong with my stomach by eating that pink steak which was uncooked from the start after I had feeling like vomiting I went to use the toilet and by surprise the toilet was absolutely unhygienic attached pictures to show how disgusting restaurant keeps their hygiene standards charging customers highly prices But The service and the hygiene was unbelievable. All I want to put this review is to let people know better don’t go here spend money in a cheaper restaurant will gain more respect in the restaurant which doesn’t charge overpriced and you will get 100% respect from the staff as well, this experience made me feel I don’t want to Continue going back to the stakeout when Im next time I’m in Slough. I also had my little one with me this time coming steak out first time the soft play I went to take my child there and most of it was ripped and it looked like no one even cleaned to keep the hygiene level for the children. I would not recommend to take your child in this area as a hygiene risk...

Disappointing Dining Experience at Steakout, Slough

I recently visited Steakout in Slough with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. We ordered two Pulled Angus Beef burgers, priced at £9.95 each, and a 200g Rib Eye steak for £20.95. Sadly, none of these dishes met our expectations.

Food Quality: The Pulled Angus Beef burgers were extremely disappointing. The patties were dry and lacked any juiciness, making each bite a chore. The buns, which should have been soft and fresh, felt stale and tough. It was as though they had been sitting out for too long, robbing them of any fluffiness. As for the Rib Eye steak, it was equally underwhelming. The meat tasted old, devoid of the rich, flavorful profile one expects from a well-prepared steak. I had to resort to using the spicy sauce available on the table to give it some semblance of taste, but even that was a letdown. The "Steakout hot and spicy complementary sauce" that came with the steak was bland and added nothing to the dish.

Service: The service was another significant disappointment. After placing our order, it took about 20-25 minutes for the food to arrive, which might have been forgivable if the restaurant had been busy, but that wasn't the case. More concerning was the lack of attention from the staff once our order was taken. There was no follow-up, no checking in to see if we needed anything, and it felt as though the staff had forgotten about us entirely.

Value for Money: Considering the quality of the food and the poor service, the prices were unjustifiable. Charging nearly £10 for a subpar burger and over £20 for a tasteless steak felt like a rip-off.

Overall Impression: This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. The food was lackluster, the service was inattentive, and the overall experience was frustrating. I cannot recommend Steakout in Slough to anyone, and I certainly won’t be returning. Save your money and your time—there are far better...

We stumbled upon this as a local recommendation was booked up. Glad it was as the service we received was 👍🏼. The place was very busy but as we were a small party got seated asap. The table was being cleaned as we approached.

The service was great from staff member Sheroz as My concern was I had our child with us who has severe allergies ( we only had to eat out because we got stuck in area overnight after a hospital stay. Staff member Sheroz was happy to warm up the food I provided for my child. And bought it out before our food came to the table so I could start feeding my child. We ordered the chicken steak& beef rump steak. And omg when they came out they looked so good. The plates were steaming . Even as we started eating they were still sizzling away. Unfortunately the tables were supper sticky as in the plate was stuck to it. Now we witnessed it being cleaned so I can only guess they have been varnished / touched up with a sub par product. When we mentioned this the staff member assured us were wiped down but needed a few mins to dry out but if we were happy to use the massive Menu as a place setting to avoid my child ick feeling.

I found customer service from all members very polite and attentive even with the place very busy ( ppl were waiting to be seated as no tables were free. The play area is a nice touch to the place and was super busy not sure if we were out for a relaxing meal I would want that distraction or lure to my child, but I assume it’s a feature that attracts those who would appreciate something for the kids. Seats ( the bench ) were tired looking tables as stated were clean but still sticky cutlery / plates were clean / plenty of condiments and napkins available Food was 10/10.
