Beaumont Patisserie — Attraction in Stratford-on-Avon

I appreciate the cosy atmosphere of this café, but unfortunately, our experience was somewhat disappointing. I fully understand that there was only one staff member handling orders, payments, and preparation, and I didn’t mind the wait. However, what made the experience frustrating was the way our order was served in an inconsistent manner.

First, three of our four drinks arrived, and then we had to wait while the staff member continued serving other customers before bringing the fourth. The same happened with our desserts—three were served first, and the fourth came much later, after yet another round of serving others. This left one person in our group repeatedly waiting while the rest of us had already started.

We visited Stratford yesterday and found this delightful little cafe as we walked down to the river. Two of us had baguettes, mine with breakfast filling, my sister had egg mayo and the third sister opted for a ham/cheese toastie and we all really enjoyed them. Then we had a cheeky pud - lemon meringue for my sisters and Baileys cheesecake for me 😋. Plus a pot of tea each. All three lunches were around £15 and absolutely worth every penny! The young men who were serving were welcoming and friendly and it was a very enjoyable break in our day before we went down to the river. Definitely will go again if we visit Stratford again. Called in on Friday for a brew & cake and to take the weight off our feet for a while. Thought it was very good, friendly enough but overpriced. My wife noticed the breakfast in a bun on the menu board. As I was planning to do the local parkrun on Saturday, we decided to call in after.
