Sheepfolds, Sunderland – A Promising Venue with Room for Improvement
Sheepfolds in Sunderland is an exciting new venue with plenty of charm, but it’s not without its drawbacks. The overall atmosphere is inviting, making it a great spot for drinks and light snacks during the day. However, one of the biggest frustrations is the lack of a public footpath bridge, which makes access more difficult than it should be.
When it comes to food, the options feel quite limited. You’re either grabbing a slice of pizza or committing to a full Italian or Asian meal—there’s little in between for those looking for a more balanced dining experience. In fact, after having one drink, we ended up getting an Uber elsewhere for food before returning later to meet friends for a few more drinks.
While the venue has a lot of potential, it still feels like it’s missing key elements to make it a truly well-rounded destination. Old stable building renovated to such a high standard, its almost like a little village inside, with a huge covered seating area and stage. A few nice places to eat, drink and a dance studio.
