We attended Harbwb Tenby for food and a few drinks. We ordered a drink and our glasses came out dirty, with lipstick all over it. Considering we are in a middle of a pandemic, this is very irresponsible and unhygienic. We ordered 4 drinks, only 3 arrived (not a problem these things happen). I went back to the bar to explain that one of the drinks had not arrived. The female bar attendant was very argumentative and stated it wasn't ordered in the first place. I explained it must have been a communication error and that we had. Instead of just making the 4th drink and putting the drink on the tab we had open, she was more concerned in arguing that we were wrong.
We ordered 3 meals, one meal being a childs meal from the same bar attendant. When the food came we questioned if the child's meal was an adults position as it was so big. The waiter stated it was an adult potion and he will speak to the chef. In the mean time, the bar attendant who served us came over to our table and argued with us stating that again, she was right and we did not order a childs postion. At this point we just wanted to leave as we had only been there for 30 minutes and we experienced 3 different bad customer service from the same woman. After arguing for a couple of minutes, She then said we can keep the adults position and charge us the kids position which was a nice gesture but there was a lot of waste of food due to us only wanting a child's position. In the middle of our food, we then recieved the same food but a child's postion, which we explained to the waiter what happened (he was new and extremely apologetic). This prove that we did order the right food in the first place and she had it in the till wrong.
We were going to wait a little longer for a few drinks, but after the service we recieved we just wanted to leave. After we paid for the bill I wanted to raise my concerns and complaint to the manager. When I asked who the manager was, nobody knew who managed the place, a member of staff asked us what the problem was as she was the supervisor of the place for the day.
When I started to explain my complaint I felt very uncomfortable as I never complain, but I felt this occasion needed to be raised. She refused to walk down the stairs to talk to me, so when I was explaining my complaint the whole pub was watching which was extremely embarrassing. I was in the middle of explaining our experience when the supervisor interrupted me and stated that, whatever I ordered would have automatically be put through as a adults size meal. I explained that wasn't the case as we recieved the same meal twice but different sizes, she then stopped me speaking, interuppted me and said 'if you let me finish what I was saying you are wrong'. At this point I started walking out as I was not being spoken to by anyone like that especially when Ive paid for a service. She continued to follow me out of the pub, to discuss matters further. I stated I no longer wanted to discuss my problem as there's clearly a bad customer service issue within the pub and my concerns were going unheard. The supervisor then changed her tune and started being apologetic and offering to refund our food, I refused as that was not my intention. She then went on and explained that they have an ongoing problem with their staff and their bad attitude and bad customer service skills.
I spend my time down Tenby on a monthly basis, I will not be returning to this pub again after I was humiliated and was given the worst service I've...
Read moreThis place needs to carry a public health warning. I wish I could give a zero star rating. Most importantly within a few hours of eating mackerel here, my partner developed severe histamine poisoning (a type of food poisoning). This is brought on by poorly refrigerated mackerel. Pembrokeshire Food Safety team have been informed and will be investigating. Aside from this, the service was frenetic and the bar staff were so stressed that one staff member was on the verge of tears while serving my partner. She said she was sick of having to compete over the noise of screaming babies and dogs. Really felt for the bar staff who were run ragged. We moved tables due to the bar room sounding like a dog pound and the waitress was very accommodating and said she agreed with us about the terrible noise. My food was basically thrown together which matched the hectic atmosphere. Our food was walked around the place twice and taken to the wrong table before we spotted it on its second lap round the pub. Wish we hadn't eaten it as my partner became so unwell later. If you enjoy being poisoned, the sound of screaming kids and the desperate pleas of parents who look like they want to murder their screaming kids, staff rushing around taking food back and forth to the kitchen as they do not know who ordered it, then you will have a good time here. Hopefully the Environment and Food Standards Team close it down. I have since been informed that Histamine poisoning has happened here previously...Avoid this place for the sake of...
Read moreThe local Tenby brewery it is a huge place. Very touristic. There is a pub, shop, brewery, beer garden. It is really nice place to go and enjoy. It was really buzzing on Sunday afternoon. But the service it is overall average to low. I got a first waitress that was nice to let me trey one of the ales that she suggested me. I am not a fan of ale. So didn’t continue with it. But my friend got a different person that even to her to order to buy something it felt the girl was not understanding or not caring. it. I wanted then to order food with this girl, she said I need the table number. I went back to get the table and it wasn’t correct it was the number at a stone over the table and not the number at the table. I ended without food but I couldn’t care to go and check again. A good customer service would had gone and checked for me. She should had said the stone over the table not the number table. I god mad. Also, I asked water for my dog, they said there were bowls in the garden. I had to go find a bowl and then to the toilet to get water. Being tradicional you should work for a better...
