I came in with lots of stress and heavy tiredness due to busy hectic life,also with lots of bitterness,resentment and hidden spiritual bondage with an desperate attempt to hear from lord . But father Anthony,as you revealed Jesus,through the word of God and also through your personal experience and your life long journey with the Lord and also after counselling with father George,my mind set and attitude of retailiation towards others changed completely and I have realized how important it is to live a life surrendered to god and seeing his hand in all our life situation and trusting in him, and imitating him to experience the new life in him,which he has promised to each one of us. Secondly, also very important, you mentioned during the end of the second day retreat,someone is building something at the moment and the lord is removing the block and for some reason or due to confusion , I failed to raise my hand up.It is true , that we are building our side garage into a large house extension, here in london,and we were actually planning to do it few years back,but everytime we kept on delaying it.The holy spirit reminded me, the next morning, I was convicted that the message was for me as well,and I need to testify it. Oops!!!!!!! .I forgot to mention!!!!!!!!!,I really like the sharing of your experience with Ramakrishnan(the passport guy),well,it did teach me,how to be patient and completely relying on the lord in humility or rather say"I dont want to waste time like you anymore ,put pick the rosary bead and start praying", and the lord who answers your prayer, will answer my prayers too with same style. I had been for a residential retreat here in February 2018 with my spouse. it has been an amazing experience for both of us. The teachings were apt, the music was soul touching and i suddenly found a renewed love for Christ all through the bible verses. The stay is comfortable and they make you feel very welcome. Yes, the retreat centre was at a stage where one part of the retreat centre was under part construction, so it was a bit dusty, but definitely liveable and nothing to complain about. Am sure the work will be completed soon. If i can request anyone reading this, 'please do not be bothered of all the negative comments that you read, the invisible touch of the Lord that you will experience here is more powerful than anything else. You will feel joy and love in your heart like never before. Problems of your life may still exist but you will have received a renewed grace to handle all those difficulties. My favourite part is the adoration every evening and 'the infilling of the holy spirit' session, held on the last day of the retreat.
