I was extremely disappointed, whilst the staff were friendly enough they managed to get my order and my partners incorrect. I ended up with a vegetarian meal and my partners was served beef (he doesnt eat red meat) not wishing to complain he just ate his vegetables and gave his meat to me, and I was a small way through mine when I realized i had be given a vegetarian meal, I ordered beef and thought it was hiding under the stuffing. The sugar snap peas were as hard as a rock as was the broccoli, I like my veg al dente but this was like chewing through cardboard. We only went here because it says on the website that it serves cauliflower cheese and red cabbage with Sunday roasts, neither were on the plate. When I pointed out he error of the incorrect meals to the staff There was only about 10 people eating at the time so how they could mix this up is quite beyond me. At £15.95 for the big roast this was really bad service and ruined what would have been a nice Sunday meal out. I would have complained at the time but my partner doesnt like fuss, I however and still annoyed about the whole experience..
Thank you for your respoinse, our booking was at 15.30hrs, My partner ordered large roast chicken, I ordered beef - standard sixe and we also ordered chicken nuggets, chips and beans for my partners...
Read moreAmazing food as always! Popped in here with my dad and my 18 month old son after a trip to Victoria Park.
I had fajitas with the amazing homemade tortilla chips, we got my son a chicken nuggets meal, can't remember for the life of me what my dad had 😣 but he enjoyed it, and ate most of it, which is saying something as he usually picks at his meals these days!
The high chair was probably the only thing that let them down. It had a few screw's loose (non essential ones thankfully!) But still something for my son to be attracted by and insist on playing with, so I had to spend a lot of my meal trying to cover them I up/distract him. Sadly they didn't have another highchair free at the time otherwise I'd have swapped it.
But the staff are always nice and friendly, add are the clientele. We timed it so we were just finishing our meal as a rugby match started on TV. And the cricketers fills up for sports matches. But my son soon starting making friends with everyone, and got some great responses! Everyone was...
Read moreWe went to the Cricketers for a drink on Sunday morning at 12.15. The pub itself is quite small & with the exception if 1 high table the rest had notes on saying they were already booked for various times throughout the afternoon. 1 couple with a young child were told they could have a drink at one such table but needed to be out in half an hour!! The staff had no idea what they were doing. They served people out of turn & 1 girl left my husband standing at the bar mid order & went to answer the telephone & proceeded to have a long conversation about a booking for that evening. Bad atmosphere & chaotic. There are some great pubs in Leamington so don't waste your time in this one. Try the...
