Victoria Park Cafe - Swirls — Restaurant in Warwick

I went today with 2 young children. For lunch, only 1 hot kids meal option on the menu, so went for that Fishfingers and Chips, portion was poor but in line with other places along with cost. However, I on the other hand, ordered the Chicken Breast burger, advertised with salad and brioche bun at a cost of £8.50, way over inflation of other places to eat in the area and didn't come with any sides. When it arrived, I was appalled, it was tiny, came in a Warbertons already sliced small white roll, not brioch and a small piece of lettuce, it was not a fresh chicken breast burger, it was clearly a frozen prepacked processed burger. I immediately complained and asked to speak to management or asked for an email or number to call, as clearly false advertisement and felt ripped off. The young girl stated there was no management present and refused to give any form of contact. She also refused to refund my money and take back the product. I obviously had to remain as I was feeding the young ones with me. I am disgusted that they thing that the price they are charging is fair, not that I will ever ordered food from here again, but it would have been more in line to charge around the £4 to £4.50 mark. Went today and ordered 3 x kids lunchboxes which is just jam, cheese or ham sandwich with a small yellow apple and some very sad looking digestive biscuits plus a water. I had a sparkling water too. It cost £19.35. I waited 20 minutes before going to ask where they were to which the “chef” and manager apologised for it being a busy period. There was maybe 5 tables max. Expressed I was really disappointed in the wait time and the price considering what is inside. I was basically met with a shrug and “I agree it is expensive, I’ll pass it on”. To which I said that doesn’t help me out now or the fact I’m not happy with service nor product and he just ignored me and asked if I wanted something to help carry the boxes.

Well, as a big group of mums and babies. We sat outside and was sorting out our babies when the man came out and said “are you going to buy anything!” We felt very uncomfortable about that and rushed. We were going to have a drink , then lunch there and obviously a cake. But ended up just having a drink after being made to feel extremely unwelcome. I can understand if it was really busy, but it was not. The milkshakes were great though. But if they don’t change how they speak to people, then I certainly won’t be returning and certainly advising all my baby friends about this. Not impressed and I hate to complain. But...
