This beautiful church is located near to the free (yes free) car park. Please note that this review is of the Anglican Church. The exterior is very impressive but it is worth taking the time to enter the church and explore the beauty and grandeur of the internal space. A free pamphlet provides a very good guide and this is supplemented by the information boards located in different parts of the church. More extensive guide books are available but these have to be paid for in cash. For those wishing to make a donation towards the upkeep of the church there is a card machine. The pre-set amounts start at a very reasonable £3. Any visit to Burford should definitely include the church

St John the Baptist Church in Burford England is one of the best church i visited so far. It was memorable for me because i was baptised as an Anglican. From the view outside to the inside it was perfect. Also, You can go to the other side to see the other side view of the church with the green scenery. It was an awesome experienced for me to visit this church.. While your exploring the Beautiful Burford, you can come and visit this Church. The architectural design of the church is beautiful. It was wonderful that i visited this church. Exploring alone is not that bad. Recommendable!!

Beautiful church from 1174-1500 that is free to visit (though donations very appreciated). There are very useful information signs throughout telling the history and use of key things throughout the church, including the chapel's construction, 12th-14th century font's history, couple buried there clock mechanism, and more. We spent about 20 minutes wandering and reading the information but could've spent a little more both inside and outside. The hours from their website were 10-4, but when we visited there was a sign mentioning 2-4 that day. Free town car park a few minutes away.

One of the Cotswold wool churches which began its construction in the 11th century and not finished until the 15th. It’s a typically medieval in many aspects of its construction with the central tower being the oldest point in the building. Beautiful stained glass throughout and historical information in every focal point. The graveyard is great for tapophiles like myself with many interesting headstones and features. The surrounding graveyard is beautifully kept with a pathway allowing access to the river.

This church ticks all the boxes, whatever you are interested in, it has in spadefulls. Interesting architecture, wall painting, tombs, beautiful side chapels, modern sculpture. The list goes on. It's easy to spend an afternoon working out the different phases of building over the years from all the faint marks of arches and roofs Highly recommended
