Unbelievably expensive for what you receive. We are in the local area on honeymoon for a week and have visited some beautiful and stunning places to eat, and have enjoyed very good service along with fantastic food. This place sadly was a joke Firstly you have no menu's for customers to view, we were just instructed to look at a blackboard above our heads which 3 items on it. Sausage, bacon or egg. We ordered 2 bacon and egg rolls, a latte and an americano with warm milk. The young girl who served us was more interested in chatting to her mates than paying us any attention, then i was told it was over £19 !!!!!!!!!!!! A bit shocked, we paid and went and sat down. Our coffee was brought to us which was very nice, then the 2 bacon and egg rolls were handed to us . OMG!!! We were confronted with 2 very very crisp rolls with 1 YES 1 slice of bacon and an over cooked egg. Absolutely appalled that you could be so blatantly taking advantage of your passing trade, we all work to make a living but you are crooks. Also when you receive food at your table and ask for condiments it is very poor service to just be told 'They are over there!!!' Won't be recommending...

We stopped for a quick breakfast visit to Burford and had high hopes for this cute little place after walking up and down the street to choose our breakfast venue. Sadly I left very disappointed with the food. The toast was barely toasted, fried egg had been fried to decimation. A 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill even though you pay before you get any service. We didn't get any cutlery and had to go searching for some ourselves. I wanted poached eggs and avocado but they do not do them. Overpriced in my opinion compared to neighbouring breakfast places compared to the quality on offer. I only took a picture of the scrambled egg on toast with avo as I was that disappointed with mine I kept my camera away from it. Iust add that the scrambled egg did taste nice but the hash brown was soggy and undercooked. The hot chocolate was expensive for a basic powdered hot chocolate. £40 for two basic breakfasts and 2 drinks and I'm still hungry. I don't write negative reviews often but I feel the breakfast needs to improve here and I hope it does as the staff were...

As a party of four we stopped in for food in the afternoon and ordered pasties, cake and tea to dine in. After 5 mins we had our tea. Several other customers came and went. Four or five people were going in and out of the kitchen making cups of tea and playing on the phones. After 15 minutes I asked how much longer would the food take, the staff were quite rude, had completely forgotten about bringing out the food, told me it would only take a minute (take out of display case and heat) and acted like I was very rude for asking for food I had already ordered and paid for. When we did get the pasties they were still cold inside. They also didn’t bring the rest of the order. When we went up again to ask for the rest of the order one of the items wasn’t available because they had sold it again to a takeaway customer. There were no apologies. We asked the remaining items to be refunded.

There are other bakeries and cafes in Burford, I would recommend to go anywhere else as here they quite literally do not care. Customers here are treated as an inconvenience rudely...

After looking at all the eateries and their prices, on the High Street, I came back here. I enjoyed my Quiche with salad - reasonably priced - and the loaf of Malted Grain bread was so good, I'd eaten most of it after 2 days. I returned a few days later for another loaf of bread and came away with a slice of their Simnel Cake and a slice of their Lemon and Blackberry Pie cake. All for under £10. Which was excellent value. The staff were lovely and their customer service was great - I found. Really helpful and friendly. The Lemon and Blackberry Pie Cake was SUBLIME. I'm very fussy about cake, as usually whatever I've gone for, isn't at all as nice as it looked. The texture of cake was lovely and the blackberry mousse like filling complimented the the lemon perfectly. I loved it. The Simnel cake was really tasty too - another good choice. 😊 Another must go to place when in the area, added to my list.

Appalling service and mediocre food for crazy prices, 51 pounds for 3 toasted sandwiches and 3 drinks, someone needs to have a word. The even funnier part was I asked if we could have 2 cheese toastie and 1 cheese and ham, she said they are pre made cheese and ham so can’t just do cheese, I asked if she could just take the ham out of the 2 of them before cooking, she said we can’t do that. Got to be the most worthy review I have ever left. And old man near us ask for a hot drink and she wouldn’t help and said he would have to come to the counter. The worst service I have seen in Oxfordshire if I am honest. I am sat in place as I write this review. Just to add insult to injury, they forgot my granddaughters milkshake and only brought us 1 serviette between the 3 of us.
