Super little museum in the centre of Burford, above the old market place. Its stone pillars & Tudor style above make it particularly attractive. The museum, in the old assembly hall upstairs, is small but packed with old memorabilia from bygone Burford days. Worth a visit, free but only open afternoons

Not open. We tried two time to visit. Don't waste you time. Yes... after 2 pm.... Local chemist stated it was closed indefinitely. Welcome to Burford!

We really enjoyed our visit to the Burford Tolsey Museum. Although small, there were so many curated pieces, telling the story of Burford over the past 8 centuries. Peter had so much passion for the museum and was very helpful in answering all our questions. A must visit if you want to understand more of the history of the Cotswolds and Burford...

English: The visit was absolutely delightful. They explained to us, in perfectly correct yet simple English so we could understand everything perfectly, the history of Burdford, its people, and its traditions and customs. They have a beautiful collection of materials that have been preserved over time, including official documents from several kings, like Edward III dated 1350. It is a place to visit and get to know its...
