Have lived in the rockferry/newferry area for 35yrs and used to frequent this.park in my youth, I now visit it with my grandkids, it's great that it has a functioning hall/leisure facility across the road and the park itself has some facilities i.e swings, climbframe and slide, and a climbing rope tower, and a few other things that are for older kids which it attracts, and in my situation I witnessed teens smoking cannabis and swearing/spitting and attitude. Which made us leave.. and some parts where fires had been lit.. there's nowhere for the teens to go and so it leaves public places to suffer there demise... and you may face a backlash or tirade of abuse or threatening behaviour so I won't be venturing back to this park...
Read moreI love New Ferry park. Everyone l meet are so friendly. I walk my dog Ozzie all around the area. The residents with their own dogs welcome us into their group. I love watching the children in the play area and the older ones always have a smile and say hello. The New Ferry Hall always have classes of some description. The caretakers Margaret and Steve are so friendly and helpful. So all in all my favourite place to walk and sit. ...weather...
Read moreNew Ferry is not a area to park a vehicle safely. Nor leave a bicycle . The play area is where children learn obcenities. Weatherspoons is the only Oasis . Foreigners park on bike tracks and double on yellow lines and bus shops with impunity. Never see a a policeman. Nor a traffic warden. Emergency services dash though the area day and night .
