Disappointing Experience – Needs Improvement

I visited Blind Cow on a Saturday night after calling ahead to check availability. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. Despite speaking to someone just 20 minutes prior to arriving, we were not informed that several items on the menu were unavailable—including key components of some dishes. This lack of communication was disappointing and gave the impression of poor organisation, especially on a busy weekend evening.

Service was extremely slow. After being seated, we waited around 30-45 minutes before a waiter acknowledged us for food , even though we had already indicated we were ready to order. He appeared to be prioritising other tasks and only returned after another 20 minutes had passed.

When the starters finally arrived, they were underwhelming. The squid consisted of just six bite-sized pieces—definitely not worth the price—and the salt and pepper chicken tasted like a basic KFC portion, yet was priced around £8-9. We also ordered bread and olives, which cost £10 for a small portion. This really needs to be brought in line with other restaurant prices.

For the main, I ordered a fillet steak after being told the one I initially wanted was unavailable. I specifically requested it with no blood, but after waiting an hour, it was served nearly raw. This was incredibly disappointing, especially given the long wait and futher wait for the steak to be correct.

While the waiter did offer 20% off due to the poor service, I would have much preferred a smooth dining experience—especially after a stressful week. Sadly, what was supposed to be a relaxing evening turned into a frustrating one.

I hope my feedback is taken constructively so that others don’t have a similar experience. However, based on this visit, I won’t...

Really poor experience, very disappointed as we were looking forward to trying here. Firstly, it took us around 30 minutes to get our drink order. The cocktails were meant to be 2 for 1 but both glasses came half filled, and when I tipped one drink into the other glass, it wasn’t even filled fully! We then waiting around 45 minutes to be asked for our food order and at no point did a waiter ask us if we wanted anymore drinks. The food came out 1 dish at a time, with some of us having all of their dishes delivered and finished whilst some didn’t even have 1 of their dishes. A table of 6 of us with each of us ordering 3-4 tapas dishes. When we were asked if we wanted desserts, we hadn’t received 5 of our dishes (this was around 2 hours after we had initially sat down) to then be told that the chefs are clocking out and they had run out of food! Very poor experience and we wont be returning unfortunately. If the situation had been handled better and we were given a proper apology, this review probably wouldn’t be...

Had a meal here with my partner as we love to try new places. Have to say from start to finish the experience was amazing. The service from staff was brill and you're made to feel very welcomed. The atmosphere and layout is well done. Definitely makes for a great stop off point if you're planning on going out after! As for the food and value for money I have to say TOP NOTCH. Just recently we visited a few places in Liverpool twice the price for half as good food. I did not expect to have such quality food for such a generous price! 9 dishes and 2 drinks £72.50 I'm a big eater and I can safely say I'm well fed. So value for money is 10/10. Compliments to all the staff and the chefs in the background you haven't gone unnoticed really good job! Thanks for a wonderful experience. If you're thinking of going get yourself booked in and I have no doubt you'll enjoy the...

We visited here for the first time recently and could not fault this place in any way. It's a beautiful restaurant with cute heated outdoor huts to dine in too. We ordered a few small plates including their creamy garlic mussels, sticky pork belly bites and salt and pepper chicken . Presentation was lovely, quality and taste faultless. For mains we opted for the sirloin and the smash cheeseburger. Big portions and again , beautifully presented! Service was great, friendly helpful staff made sure our visit was enjoyable. They have a good alcohol (and non alcohol) selection from wines, draught beers to cocktails and soft drinks .

Second time coming here for breakfast, and wasn't disappointed. Parking available on the road outside, easily accessible. Service was quick and well priced. Decor is very eye pleasing, have sat inside and the 'outside' area (heated lamps are a lovely warming bonus) Would of added a picture of the food but is that delicious i couldn't wait to tuck in! Staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend and you won't be disappointed.
