AVOID AVOID AVOID AWFUL unaccepting of SEN play centre. If you have children with Additional Needs AVOID Staff support parents who are ignorant to SEN. If you have a SEN child who unintentionally hurts another child, the staff say they are going through a phase and suggest you keep more of a watchful eye on them, or get in with them (Have it in writing from them) So basically your SEN child is being penalised for having Additional Needs. Ignorant parents go there, who won't understand your child has AN. Parents who like to tell other parents how to parent their child go there. The staff back the ignorant parents up. It is also not the staff's responsibility to get involved, if another parent has a go at a parent with a SEN child, who has like I said unintentionally hurt their child. You are not even given the chance to say sorry, ask if their child is ok, and explain why your child has acted this way. You just get attacked, and the staff have put it in writing they can't control this, and won't get involved. It's ok because they have had your money. Not wanting to get involved is utterly disgusting and irresponsible...... Regarding your parenting advice, can you please confirm you have Paediatric Qualifications..??
Something else I would like to add one member of staff was more interested in making phone calls to her Son, as he had kicked an expensive football over the fence. One customer had to remind her she had placed a food order, she had been forgotten about.
Surely serving paying customers takes priority over making personal phone...

Smaller than your average soft play - the play area is about 20ft x 20ft - but that works out well. You can always see your kids, and they can see you. This really helps to build your kid's confidence and reduces the amount of time you spend contorting yourself round the climbing frame to "rescue" a child that's gotten themselves stuck and can sit with a decent coffee instead.
The reduced age range (0-8) means it's safer for the smaller children as there's no larger kids charging about, and the place is big enough that everyone gets a turn on whatever play thing takes their fancy.
It's clean and as tidy as a kids play centre can be. The staff were actively hoovering up the various crisps and crushed biscuits almost as soon as they happened.
Decently priced too, with a play and a meal deal that doesn't break the bank.
We travelled here on the train, as it's only just over the road from the station, which just added to the fun day out.

Read moreWhen the original owner was off due to breaking her leg, the stand in person was incredibly rude. She did not acknowledge me or the kids on the way in or out and was huffing and puffing when I ordered some lunch for my children. My children are both exceptionally well behaved and I tidied up after we had finished. The cleanliness needs looking at; the toilets need revamping or a deep clean and the Noddy toy just needs removing. I liked it here but the last time we went it just put us all off so won't be returning. I've found a new soft play that's clean, friendly and doesn't have parents there who just sit on their phones or chat to their mates whole their 2 year old is battering someone...
