Game Freaks — Attraction in Aberdeen

Update: Even though I ended up taking the gift back to Walmart to exchange, (I chanced it hoping they wouldn't realize it wasn't bought from there...and it worked. 😁) I did receive a Facebook message from the manager down there asking to bring the play set in and exchange it, and that the employee must of made a mistake in telling me that I needed a receipt. Doesn't really matter now....but the thought is nice. Thank you. I'll be shopping there again, because despite this little predicament, the place is really cool and I've always been treated really well there.

I usually would give this store five stars, as theyve always been an awesome shop to go to... but tonight theyve more than dissapointed me and my family. My daughter received a "Calico Critters" toy from there for christmas tonight from there but sadly she already had the playset that was given to her. I called down there and since they live just down the road figured i would be able to exchange it no problem for another playset. Well apparently i was wrong. I was told i NEED A RECEIPT. EVEN FOR GIFT EXCHANGE!! Of course the person who gave it to her no longer has the receipt so i have a VERY dissapointed girl for Christmas and a VERY expensive toy we cant do anything with besides maybe sell it on offerup? Im shocked at how Game Freaks cant even exchange one unopened playset for another for a four year old girl for Christmas. I wont be shopping there anymore and neither will my family. They just lost about 8 very...

I stopped here while we were visiting in the area. It was my weekly "me time" and while my husband watched our kid, I thought maybe I could find us a new boardgame. I was so surprised when I walked in. I was expecting some board games, video games, and maybe some pop culture things (like Pop! figures) but this place seems to have it all!!

They carry miniatures, pop culture toys, "green" toys for babies/toddlers, coloring books, jewelry-making kits, costumes, trading cards (MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, etc), dice, video games & consoles, backpacks, apparel, board games, gift items and really the list goes on.

The backroom is pretty much as close to heaven as a gamer can get: extra large tables for tabletops and miniatures, super comfy gaming chairs, and 16 high-end gaming stations.

Fantastic staff. The owner, himself, helped me find the perfect gifts for my 2y/o daughter! On the last Saturday of every month they host an "All Nighter" gaming session in partnership with PLAYlive! Truly the ultimate stop for gamers and...

I live OVER an hour away (Oregon) from this business. I called and asked if they would stay open past closing for me. They were the only store within 100miles that had what I needed. Travis was kind enough to keep the store open till I got there. It was only 10 minutes but hey, he could have said no, or he could have just left at closing. But he stayed for me. Not only that!!!! But he even explained how to do the warranty and explained how the item works. He wasn't pushing me out or short with me. He definitely worked with me. Thank you, Travis. You are a Rockstar.

I even saw they had all the old school games for every console. Sega, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, n64, etc.... only if I had enough time to browse the classics. I will DEFINITELY be back. With more time to spare, of course.
