"Casas de Colores" which translates to "Houses of colors". This is a beautiful neighborhood of houses tucked on the hill (Cerro Cabrera) above Rompeolas Beach in Aguadilla that has been painted in murals and mosaics by an organization called Proyecto Pintalto and the local residents. It's beautiful with history and many photos opportunities! Please be mindful as families do live in these houses. They are friendly and love to see the tourists though. Some enjoy talking and answering questions. It free to visit. There is parking down by the beach and you can walk up. Read moreThis location is good to stop and take a few selfies and photos. These homes were painted like the ones in the Yauco pueblo/town area, also known as Y2/Yaucromatic. There's also a few other tourist attractions near this location for your enjoyment as well. You can Google them on your Google Maps.
There's not much else to do around this area. I read a post that mentioned this paint was donated to paint this area. It makes sense because it became a tourist attraction, and people come to take photos. At the same time, people may make a stop for drinks and food or just to enjoy the scenic views by the beach area. So it brings revenue for the area.

Read moreOkay, this wasn’t quite what I expected. If it were my first time visiting, I might have felt uneasy — the area felt a bit sketchy, hard to find, and parking was nearly impossible. Even with a parking lot a few blocks away, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking from there. I didn’t see many people or tourists around, and the New Yorker in me decided to pass. It’s an interesting spot to drive by, and the artwork is definitely impressive, but that’s about it.
