Lucas and Ella — Restaurant in Aguadilla

This new restaurant in Aguadilla has a cool vibe and the brunch menu and food are good. However, we had a very unpleasant experience there. We ordered mimosas and coffee and at some point during the meal asked for cups of water. The waitress returned with a bottle of water and poured it out into cups, while we were eating, and left the bottle on the table. The bottle surprised us as we had not asked for bottled water. However, as we were in the middle of our meal, we did not question it. When we received the bill we found we had been overcharged for the eggs and had been charged $6.50 for water. When we brought it to the attention of the waitress, she acknowledged she overcharged for the eggs, but felt that it was on us to let her know if we did not want the bottled water. We protested that argument and explained we shouldn't have been charged for bottled water we did not request, especially such expensive water. Minutes later, the manager approached us inquiring about the situation. We explained and she said she would inquire about it. After several more minutes, during which we began to feel extremely uncomfortable, She returned saying that she had to charge us for the water as she had called the restaurant owner and was told it was restaurant policy . Not wanting to kill any more of our valuable vacay time, we reluctantly agreed to pay for the water but explained we would take it out of the tip. But when I reviewed the credit card slip, I noticed she had overcharged us by $6.00. I again bought it to her attention and she acknowledged the error and went to the register to refund the $6.00 in cash. In conclusion, great place but unethical practices....

We came to this place accidentally and I must admit we had a good time.

First, I'd like to start with the positives and the service was superb. Our waitress was Valeria Sánchez and she was very knowledgeable and passionate about her job. She helped us immensely describing the different dishes and making sure we ordered what we want it. It is very uncommon these days having an employee like her. I personally eat out quite a bit and employees like her are hard to come by. If I were a restaurant owner I would have hired her on the spot making sure she works for me. L&E, please take care of her and others in her position and make sure you pay them not what the government tells you, but what is fair.

Second, I'd like to talk about the ambience and overall looks inside the restaurant. The place looks charming, cute, clean (considering dogs are welcome inside the dinning facility) and we'll decorated. The decorations are a bit too much for my taste, but they look good.

Third, the food tasted good and the presentation was decent but it lacked the wow factor. Although we ate it all, it felt underwhelming. There's nothing special about the burger, the pancakes were small, way too sweet for our taste, and looked straight out of a Betty Crocker box. You can tell they're not made from scratch therefore make them feeling artificial like a soda.

Lastly, prices could add up quickly hindering pockets if you are not prepared to absorb the meal ticket.

Overall, I might come back for a meal, but definitely will come back for the good (although...

The place is one with a lot of vibes in every detail, one of the things that I loved the most was its theme aimed at one of man's best friends, in honor of our beloved furry dogs, the dogs. Beautiful place!

The extremely attentive staff, A+. The service was super fast, they have good coffee and awe tried the Mac & Cheese Balls as appetizer and they were very delicious.

This is my very personal opinion and experience with the mains, we ordered the breakfast burger and eggs benedict, and they did not blow us away. The burger meat was very dry, perhaps overcooked and the hollandaise sauce on the egg’s benedict was not noticeable. There was a misunderstanding, was when the waitress asked me if she wanted to accompany the burger with a side dish, I thought it didn't come with one, when the food arrived it already comes with fries and ends with an additional accompaniment. (maybe the girl didn't know that include a site, since the restaurant has been open for a week).

As I mentioned before, this was very personal, I only tried three meals from the menu, and they have a very extensive menu. I know that it is a place that has only been open for a week and I have just let you know, because I understand that there is always room for improvement.
