Based on the plaque placed on the wall, they started painting this quaint neighborhood that overlooks the ocean in 2017. It is adorable! We meandered up and up the staircases and around the walkways taking photos and exploring the incredible art. We made it to the top where the baseball court is (also a hop scotch court). The residents are extremely friendly, but we also were very respectful to not be loud and peak into their homes. We did meet a local who was a retired New Yorker now owning a small convenience store. He showed us a photo of what the area looked like when his mother lived here in the 1930's. Quite the difference. He chuckled at the stream of folks following behind us exploring the area.
