Midway Plaza — Attraction in Akron

Midway plaza isnt what it used to be. I remember when every space there was filled and the prices in all of the stores was actually reasonable. Ive recently shopped at the plaza and i was actually upset when i left because my girlfriend and I just got an apartment after a number of unfortunate incidents which left us homeless and we needed everything to furnish our apartment as you can imagine. We didn't have much money to work with because our only income is my disability. We went to the goodwill looking for whatever pieces of furniture that we could get. The plaza needs a huge make over and I hope the new owners can bring this iconic area back to its glory days of being filled again with tentents it's another dying venue. Parking lot needs 100% regraded leveled and resurfaced parking light need fix so people who come to shop feels a bit safer. Childhood memory was the iconic Midway sign when it was lite up flashing it's lights at dusk till when ever they where shut off ever since the hamburger station was torn down the the plaza...

I grew up around this area and have fond memories of shopping at all of the stores in the plaza. But fast forward to today, and it’s gone so far downhill, it’s hardly recognizable. Even The big M in the sky has lost its glow... Besides all the vacant shops and pothole filled parking lot, the only thing that area has to offer are dirty low class strip clubs and drugs.
