Windsor Pub — Restaurant in Akron

My very first visit to this establishment my significant other and I witnessed a person that was so inebriated he fell. We helped the manager get him up and we saw that the owner took him home personally. Even after such a scene we respected the place and the staff for how caring they were . This became a quick favorite since we just moved into the area . I brought my parents to visit because they are in from out of town . We had questions and issues about the music being played by barstaff where we would of just not wasted money if we knew the bartenders had so many songs left and our music may not be played before we left . the owner was controversial when we were speaking amongst ourselves. A little later my mother fell and the owner barely gave her any mind of the situation. We took her to the hospital and her pelvis is broken . This is beyond ridiculous and not expected from an owner to behave and treat one person so well and the other as if they were not relevant because of a stupid jukebox issue . This is not a respectable establishment as I once thought when a person breaks a bone and the owner was not once concerned as we were trying to get her out when she couldn’t put any pressure...

I'm a big fan of this place and I'm usually in at least once a week... It's a real bar and grill with great food and stiff drinks, simple as that! They focus on what matters instead of sissy decor or some goofy theme and I really like that.

I see someone complained about a special order problem. I can't discount that but I've never had an issue myself in years of coming here. My usual consists of a combo of everything on both the "Windsor" and "Rocket" burger plus whatever else I think of on a given day. They have order screens right at the bar and whatever you ask for is punched in.

Honestly, you need try this place for yourself... I'll often take a burger here over the best steaks most "fine" resturants can offer. I've tried just about everything on the menu if not all of it and this is one of those few spots where everything is just good. On top of that the kitchen is open from 11AM to 1AM.

The only thing I can knock em' for is that they really need bring back the battered onion rings. Man, those things were great! Edit...after some banter Rick brought back the battered onion rings. Just another one of those little things that puts this place...

Last night I went here to get dinner. Service was not best hard to get my order taken and wasnt welcomed at all. I wrote down my order on keno sheet because I thought maybe they were having a tough busy time. She took the paper and said thank you. I then left money on bar to pay for food plus a tip and played a game of pool waiting til they let me know order was ready. After about an HR I asked if that knew how much longer it would be til food was ready. It was ready in a bag behind bar. Then they tell me I owe for food. I told them that I left money on bar but I will pay for it again without tip this time of course. So a chicken finger dinner w some fries cost me $17. Then on my way out after bartender accussed me of lying already stops me at door to remind me she thinks I'm lying n said how did you know what to pay? The menu lists prices with all food. I have very good memories with my family here and this one experience of the worst service in akron ive ever had will stop me from ever recommending this business and for sure ever spending my hard earned money there! Its so sad how one single person that doesn't have customer service skillls...
