Food was hot and portions good. Orange chicken was ok it was very light on flavor but smelled great, yellow curry w/ chicken was also good and came with no spice so I added some myself. Tom kha Kai soup w/chicken is really good and probably my favorite I did order without mushrooms due to allergies. Crab Rangoons were more of a dessert and tasted like a cinnamon cream cheese filling like Taco Bell’s Cinnabons. Not bad just unexpected. Spring rolls were ok.
Tried ordering over the phone to clarify food allergies (wish we could substitute veggies). Also, questions about the noodle dishes. Really hard to understand the other end over the phone the volume is so low. But every place I’ve been the Singapore noodle is a curry seasoned noodle and I was told they are just dry with no added sauce/seasoning. Asked if they have any curry noodle and was told no tho the online menu lists curry noodles?? I asked if ANY noodle dish had a sauce/seasoning or something other than dry fried noodle and was told no I would have to order the curry rice dish. Any description would be nice other than the meat and veggies being listed and being told to read the menu is not helping for one I have a printed menu that is not accurate to the online listed menu which I found 3 different versions of. Would’ve loved to try the dessert sticky rice and custard but doubt they have that since most of the menu’s I’ve found don’t list it as available either.
Overall probably won’t go out of our way again to try this place mostly due to...
Read moreAll I have to say is, FINALLY! So glad we found this place, they just opened a few months ago and Live Mon definitely hit a home run with their traditional menu. We haven't had food this good since we moved from California and San Diego has a pretty big reputation for an abundance of cultural and traditional foods. We moved here to Ohio just about 3 years and it's been a struggle finding real authentic Asian foods here, when I took the first sip of their Tom Kha Kai soup, literally my eyes began to water, it took me back home for sure. The hostess was very sweet and she let us know they will be adding more Malaysian food to the menu in a couple months which we are very excited to try, we drove about an hour from Wayne county to eat here and it's well worth every mile :)
We had a mango and matcha boba smoothie, crispy spring rolls, crab rangoon, tom kha kai soup, shrimp and tofu pho, sweet and sour shrimp with rice. The boba was perfect, crispy spring rolls delightfully flaky and packed with veggies, the crab Rangoon was over the brim with sweet cream cheese and crab meat, my pho soup was light and refreshing and the sweet and sour shrimp was probably the most flavorful dish I've had in a while.
We are definitely coming back and we can't wait to try more of...
Read moreWe were visiting our kids in Ravenna, and they wanted to bring us here for dinner for our anniversary. Really liked the atmosphere and decor. The waitress was super helpful. We ordered yellow curry, Penang curry, Singapore noodles, putt Thai, putt see ew, and egg rolls. All the dishes were very good. The disappointing thing was the small amount of rice that came with the curries. We had to ask for several extra bowls of rice for the 7 of us. We have eaten Thai food at dozens of restaurants in several states, but have never had small bowls of rice brought out with the curries. I lived in Thailand for a few years when I was younger, and that was where my love for their food started. We ended up being the only ones there for a while, so the waitress was attentive. As we were leaving, a big party came in so I don't know how service would be...
