WAITED 1 HOUR AND 20 MINUTES just to CANCEL my internet service because they REFUSED to do it over the phone ! I had NO equipment to return or anything , They just REFUSED to allow me to end service over the phone. Went to this location today at 1:30 pm has 2 employees and the place is jam packed with CUSTOMERS and MOST WERE THERE RETURNING EQUIPTMENT AND CANCELLING SERVICE ! They assured me at the counter that I am PAID IN FULL and in fact , Spectrum OWES ME some money and will mail me a check. After dealing with This company for so long and having to file formal BBB.ORG Complaints against them to resolve problems , I am sure the credit due to me will vanish and I will get some bogus final bill for a hundred dollars or so ! So glad we got a postcard from or cell phone provider ...No Names Please ( BIG RED ) that we just got 5G Wireless Internet unlimited for $50 a month in our cell phone plan and the SPEED IS INCREDIBLE unlike the SNAIL SPEEDS AT SPECTRUM. To anyone paying Spectrum the almost $90 a month for snail speed internet like we were.... Better LOOK OUTSIDE this Scamming Spectrum where we were PROMISED Blazing fast speeds if we upgraded and got NOTHING but SNAIL SLOW SPEED and took forever ....Now with our new Wireless 5G From the OTHER Red V Company...I AM AMAZED ! Also...Please close this location down if the excuse is COVID or "can not get employees to work". HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and so glad that we are 100% DONE with Spectrum for...
Read moreSpectrum is the definition of corporate greed and over reach. I thankfully had the opportunity to cancel service because I was moving. I was surprised that every utility and service I had for my home was easily and harmoniously cancelled with a quick and polite call…. Except for Spectrum. The cancellation process for Spectrum is unlike any other I encountered. They “had to” ask me questions like the model of my phone, and how much my cell phone bill was each month. All I wanted to do was cancel my service and I could not proceed without going through a gauntlet of prying questions. Then they didn’t believe I was moving, and proceeded to offer me my current service for half price. I was with them for 10 years, paying full price, and now when I call to leave you offer me a discount? Upon returning my equipment to the Spectrum Store I sat in line for 25 minutes with no movement in line. I saw 4 people ahead of me in the same situation. A Walmart bag with a modem and router being returned. Everyone sitting around. I told the store employee I had to leave, since I thought it would just have been a quick and easy drop off. She said “ITS NEVER QUICK AND EASY”. I took the option of returning the modem and router to the UPS Store the next day. And guess what, they made it quick and easy. For the love of all that is holy, if you value your time and sanity, return your Spectrum equipment via...
Read moreFor any current or incoming customers. Plan leaving Spectrum services carefully. They are going to bill you the final full month with no prorating regardless of when you cancel. They knowingly do this after billing you a month in advance at contract beginning. I spoke to three people. initial rep, supervisor, and a manager who all simply said they understood my frustration but that it was the "policy" (I have the entire saved chat). I checked the Better Business Bureau and it turns out this is one of the main complaints against Spectrum. I am not one to typically leave negative reviews (posting publicly so you can check me on that) and while yes this may be their "policy", and yes I likely did agree to this. How many of us read all that legal speak they put out there when we are signing up? We take it on faith that we will be handled in a fair and equitable manner. With Spectrum this is not the case. It is not in any way assisting their customers whom they in their advertising claim to care so much about. After 20+ years with TWC and now Spectrum I am being asked to now pay $80 for 4 days of internet access. I am willing to cover the $12 that would be those 4 days (yes I rounded up and added 1). Thankfully choices are coming and Spectrum is no longer the only provider. I am not saying the others will not do the same thing. I am however wise to it now and hopefully you...
