I went to bowl with my boyfriend for a date night, we were happy coming in and were greeted by a very friendly front desk guy. He checked us out, we went to our lane and proceeded to bowl. We then went to the cafe to order a snack and immediately the young girl working was extremely rude. Charged us a soda price for a water.. and had an attitude ringing us out. We then had an error on our lane where two pins were not reset for my boyfriends bowl, we bowled thinking it would fix itself after he finished the set. After the first bowl, he went to grab his ball and the lane shut off and told us our game was over. We went to the front desk where I’m assuming the manager was and explained the situation, she was extremely rude and said that there was no error on her end. Immediately after the exact same thing happened to the lane next to us and we went up with him because he took a photo and she still was extremely rude and even rude to him saying it’s an error default and that’s why. I told her that I just said the same thing happened to us and she should listen to customers if they say something to take it into consideration. She was very eager to try and prove a point that she’s right only. We will not return to Jewel Lake.. miserable people love making other people miserable. Anyways there’s other bowling alleys we are happy to support but they won’t be one. Save your energy and money then dealing with a...
Read moreHad a gift certificate, drove all the way from valley with 5 kids only to be told our 2 hrs of bowling had to be done at 9:30pm NO WHERE on the certificate did it say that. Plus I called like 3 different times to make sure of hours. After nicely begging for the kids to be able to bowl ( the place was empty) he finally let us bowl for an hour even though we were supposed to get 2. The machines kept messing up, not only did they not record scores, but they would give one person three turns on another only two a couple times it got skipped after one turn. And the machines themselves would either not put the pin up or it would put them all back. It was not a very great experience. Luckily The kids were in good spirits and had a good time regardless of the nonsense. I'm glad this was a gift certificate and I didn't have to actually spend any money. I would definitely not go there and spend a hard...
Read moreStill one of the best neon bowling places on the weekend the last 20+ years. They play current-day music (at a good loud volume). So if you're sensitive, go earlier in the day during normal bowling. I find it good, you can still talk (loudly) over the music. They have blank lights also so eveything white glows. Balls and shoes are provided during neon bowling.
It gets crazy busy, so call ahead and get reservations (you have to pay ahead of time to do this).
They have a "wet" side for drinking, and a dry side for non drinking.
First session is 9 - 11:30 I belive. Second is 11:30 - 2am.
I would suggest only putting 3-4 people on a lane if you can, above that you complete 1 and a half games before time is up.
Food is available next door, make sure you get your order in right away or it might take a while.
There is a...
