So the service seemed great at first, but went down hill quick.
I was just getting a new touch screen for my 2011 Volkswagen Golf and I was disappointed with the outcome.
First off when I started asking questions I got a lot of we can't do this we can't do that. This should have been a red flag. One of my questions was... my car came with a Bluetooth receiver already installed so I asked instead of wiring the new radio system to a new external mic could we wire it to the mic already in the car. I got a flat out no with this and was fairly disappointed.
My biggest issue came with the usb wire for connection from my phone to the radio system. I was very specific that I did not want any wires hanging out of an panels. I have two usb adapter plug ins just below the dash and asked if we could install the usb plug into one of those that already exist. I got a hesitant, we will try, but probably no. The sales rep then suggested that I do a 12volt adapter and I said that would be great if we could not do the install into the original USB ports. He then told me he would call me if they were not going to be able to do the usb cable.
So today I dropped off the car with high hope and never got a call for anything. After about three hours I called them back just to check on it and they told me the vehicle was almost done. Once I arrived I asked assuming yes because I never got a call, if they were able to install the usb into the existing ports. They said they weren't and then asked if I wanted to install the 12 volt conversion. I said yes and was confused why they hadn't already given that I really didn't want any open wires. They said okay but then couldn't fit it back in today which meant I had to come back and pay for them to take apart the dash and everything again. This was extremely disappointing seeing how the build was already costing me 600 and didn't even include speakers. I have done previous builds with speakers for 600 and I thought this was a huge price to pay to not even receive what I was looking for to begin with.
I then received my car and saw that they had put the usb plug in wedged almost under the passenger seat coming out of the plastic. I then called someone to test the mic and they reported that the mic was repeating everything that they said back to them making it hard for them to understand me.
Honestly if I had paid a teenager to do this install I would have thought they had done a great job, but I was highly disappointed with this professional companies work and the money I paid for the whole thing. 10/10 would recommend either doing the work yourself or going to another shop. I will be having another shop see if they can fix my mice and install the 12 volt conversion or hopefully USB adapter for me in the future and won't be bringing my vehicles back for any...
Read moreI purchased speakers, paid for installation and extended warranty for my daughters car, only to find that not only did it take all day to Install the speakers, but to find out on the way home that the passenger right rear window wont open or close. We have never had any issues with our car windows until the speakers we bought were installed. I had my daughter take the car back and they told her to bring it the next day early cause they have alot of other vehicles they are working on. So she goes the next morning again for them to say a part Is missing to make the window open and close and when they took the door apart they couldn’t find the part. So they send her off with no resolution in which she calls me frustrated.I call the service manager Chris to complain and tell him i need this fixed, we paid for the installation to have the speakers installed correctly, and due to their negligence when installing the speakers we now have a missing part leaving us now with a window you cant open or close and when she drove out of their parking lot the window has dropped, leaving it accessible to be broken into and unable to close. Chris advised he would order the part and fix it and to have her take the car back again and they would fix the window to be closed until the part comes in. So I have my husband go right back with my daughter to have the window shut until the part comes in. Chris said the part would take a week to get in and he would call. A week goes and it’s Wednesday and I hear nothing, so I call to find that the part is at the dealership ready to be picked up but no one has access/check at their store to pick up the part at the dealership, so I ask so how much longer is this gonna take, and their response was they would have to call Chris who is working at their other location and call me back. They called back right away and said Chris indicated he would get the part on Saturday bring the car than. Saturday morning comes and being unsure before I make another trip early in the morning I call to see if the part is there and was told Chris is off today and won’t be in until Tuesday, and they don’t have the part or the check/access to get the part and more than likely wouldn’t get it done today cause Chris is supposed to bring the check. It still hasn’t been resolved, So now not only were we miss informed, but have to wait until Tuesday and I was told they have other people waiting as well with complaints to still get resolved. This has been going on for 3 weeks now with no resolution, and I also purchased the extended warranty in which I’m not even sure how this will end up working if we ever need to use it. With that being said, I am dissatisfied with how my service as a customer is being...
Read moreI had a system installed - receiver, speakers and subwoofer. Upon completion and after I drove away (I just wanted to get out of there because installation took so long) I found the bluetooth microphone didn't work, nor did the volume control knob on the subwoofer. I can only think they don't give a final test after installation. I called with my problems and no problem - bring it in and they'll take care of it. Turned out the microphone was not plugged into the receiver - they said it must have come unplugged when they pushed the receiver into its final resting place. OK - again - don't they test it??
I was also told the volume knob was inoperative, they didn't have one in stock, and it would have to be ordered. They would call me when it was ordered and give me an estimated delivery date. NO PHONE CALL. Finally after 2 weeks I called them. I was told it was due to be delivered the next day and they would call me when it came in. NO PHONE CALL. After 3 days I called them and was told it was in. Great. I scheduled an appointment to have it installed on Saturday, 9:00 A.M. so as to be first in line, as I had already taken 2 afternoons off work for this so far. Just before opening , there were several people waiting for the door to be opened. No problem, I have an appointment. When I get to the desk, I'm told there are several people ahead of me as they work on a first come first served basis. After raising a fuss (and my voice) at this news, I was told he would put me in front of the orders he had already taken. They took my truck back, but doubt they actually started on it at that time because my next contact with them was about 2 1/2 hours later! At that time I was told that my particular subwoofer doesn't come with a volume control and they couldn't get one to work. I asked them if that's so why did you install one and charge me $45 for the installation of one? He didn't have an answer and asked if I had my receipt, which I did. He then went to do some research. Turned out my sub will indeed accept a volume control, just not the one they initially installed and then tried to re-install. They finally found one that does work. Oh yeah and because I was sooo patient, they weren't going to charge me for the installation of the knob that finally worked.
My bottom line assessment of them is they sell good equipment (my stereo sounds great now) but they really don't know what they are doing at installation. And you better have plenty of spare time on your hands.
I noticed there were several people there to have installation issues resolved when I was there. In all, I spent about 10 hours in their shop for the initial installation, and the 2...
