I like going here. However it doesn't improve. The wait to get in is horrible, and there are so many insane and unsafe drivers. I wish that there was some sort of crossing guard at the intersections near the fairgrounds/EXPO to help with traffic. I saw many New Mexico state police IN the fair, but none outside of the fair. The price of everything is also horrendous, specifically the parking, entrance fee, and ride fee. I wish there was some sort of student discount or something! With the amount of people attending the fair, I have no idea where the money is going to. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, and the stall I was in, near Indian Village, didn't close. So I had to hold to door closed. It was a very unsanitary experience. I suppose spending about 100 dollars for the bare minimum is worth it? I would like it a lot better if bathrooms were clean for once. I also found a used condom on the ground. I guess the New Mexico state police weren't...

Louisiana and Lomas having NO traffic management while being the busiest cross around the fairgrounds during the fair is the most awful decision anybody has ever made. You need to have people out here directing. Multiple times in the full hour it took me to get from the beginning of the entry line into the gate I watched people gridlock, causing a ton of blockages and wreck risks. I'm amazed nobody got hurt. Saw multiple people making illegal moves and in turn almost hitting pedestrians. It was obnoxious. I've never seen a state fair that's been so poorly managed...

We showed up to this venue to see a concert. Upon our arrival we were told the ladies I was with were not able to bring in their small purses. They suggested we go back to our hotel and drop them off. Not an option since we used uber. There was no communication of this policy posted on our tickets, website or at the venue. Their alternative suggestion was to sell us a clear bag to put the original purses that we couldn't bring in into. The girl working was extremely rude and not in the least bit helpful. Absolute joke here. Would not recommend. Suck it...

State Fair brings together such a variety of activities and things we & our children don't see in our daily lives . Although most people are attracted to the carnival area, there is so much more. Exhibits art - both student & professional; amazing crafts like quilt making, baking items (pies!); flower and fruit/vegetable competitions; and 4H projects. Animals: All types of chickens, rabbits, goats, pigs, sheep, horses, even kangaroos! It's important not only to get exposed to a different side of life but to have fun at the same time.
