This Venue is not suitable for anything but small junior rodeos or small circus-type attractions or the like. One good aspect of this facility is that it was cool inside when it was 90° outside. Which is important in Albuquerque during spring and summer months In a domed, elongated ovalicular structure of bare steel and hardened concrete and With 90% of the seating is the uncomfortable bleacher type and the other 10% is of uncomfortable formed plastic (circa 1960s) which probably acceptable wnen it was originally built in the last century But is not suitable and or acceptable to expect any one to sit and enjoy any other kind of entertainment or event where hard earned dollars are spent for tickets and or admissions. That said, now brings meto the concessions offered at this"Venue" depending on the event, are from 0 (Non-existent) to exorbitant and ridiculous. No doubt from the management of this facility charging vendors to bid or buy in on a concession licence on a per event basis, and that translates to $8.00 fountain cokes and $ 12.50 burgers and fries.$ 5.50 hot dogs. If that fare is even offered. As is for most Cow arenas (i would guess)The acoustics are a joke, so no music is worth paying for here. (No fault of any of the Music acts or Bands booked here)With the exception of a 1998 Pearl Jam concert where the band defied the very laws of physics and played one hell of a show finishing after the House lights were turned on and eddie vedder dissapeared unto a hole he chopped into the stage floor with the base of his mic stand. (While Mike mcCready and the band finaled the Epic cover of the Who song : BABA O'Riley. !!!Thx PJ!!) This guide has seen over 250 events at this facility with the knowledge at one time it was the only place Albuquerque had to offer. (And some youthful ignorance and impetus )Why and how it became Abq's default live mucic venue for a long stretch of the past 30 years is a mystery to me. There still exists a need of an indoor multi use/event venue. Friendlier to major musical acts or musical/stage based events. at the vert least it neefs to be adaptable to offer qaulity in this segment . nothing of the sort exists at this venue and does more of a diservice to Albuquerque event attendees and the attractions or events or bands it books as it is a facility that just cannot offer comfortable qaulity, modern affordable enjoyable atmosphere to ticket buyers or the attractions. This facility and its management need to go the way of the drive in movie theatre: a less than perfect, Lo-Fi feast for the senses, of which the experience is often reminisced, but all in all its not...
Read moreThis venue is the ABSOLUTE WORST for any type of high production show. We flew in from Arizona to see Panic! at the Disco on 2/12/19 at Tingley. The staff seemed to have no idea what was going on and it was complete chaos. Those of us who had VIP tickets did our thing and then were ushered inside the venue where the floor seats had numbers underneath written in chalk. There was on large section called “Floor A”. Not long after we got to our seats, people around us began to complain saying that’s not where their seats were supposed to be. After the two openers played, Panic’s security and the venue security came out with typed signs saying that the venue had messed up the seating and that everyone had to move. Starting with the first row, they ushered everyone out of each row one by one as staff of the venue went to each seat in each row and wrote the “correct” numbers on them and then ushered everyone back in. Once everyone was back in their “new seats” a group of 10 people were brought over to the barricades and stayed there, standing for the entirety of the show. Parts of Panic’s show couldn’t be performed because of the venues lack of capacity and ability. Overall, I would never go see a show at this venue ever again and I would hope that Panic never has to go back there again either. If I could have given zero...
Read moreWent for the Cruisin the 505 concert. I would say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a concert. This event center is horrible. Started off with security informing everyone in line that if their purses were larger than 4 x 6 the were not allowed in. My cross body bag was barley bigger by an inch. They made me buy a clear bag for $10 empty my purse in there and our my empty purse in there. They said it’s in their website I just checked but it’s not. Doors were supposed to open at 6 but they didn’t let us in till 6:45. The line to buy beer was down the stairs, which is dumb. The security guard who said my purse was too big was trying to be someone special and ruining our good time when the show finally started which was supposed to start at 7 but didn’t start till close to 8. Also I know the tickets say artists are subject to change, but I initially bought the tickets cause Baby Bash and MC Magic were performing but Baby bash didn’t show up and neither did Brenton Wood. Gave 2 stars because security and bag policy was ridiculous and the show was not on time. It also was Soo hot in the facility because they had us packed like sardines. The Rio Rancho event center is definitely a better place to catch an...
