Pile of Games is hands-down one of my favorite places to be. If you’re into Warhammer 40K, other wargames, or just love the tabletop hobby in general, this place is a must-visit. You can feel the passion the moment you walk in, not just for the games, but for the whole community around them.

Pete and Pond are fantastic. They’re not just running a store, they’re genuinely excited about the hobby, and it shows in how they treat everyone who walks through the door. They’re always up for a chat, super helpful, and just all-around good people. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel welcome, whether you're new to the hobby or a long-time player.

What really stands out is how much they care about every part of the hobby, not just the gaming, but the painting, building, and creativity that comes with it. There’s always someone working on a new project, showing off a cool conversion, or swapping tips. It’s such a great vibe.

They’ve built a real community here, not just customers, but friends who hang out, game together, and support each other. Events, hobby nights, casual games it’s the kind of place that makes you love the hobby even more.

Recently entered the realm of mini painting and stopped in here looking for some specific colors for orcs and goblins. Pete approached me immediately and was beyond helpful. Obviously his knowledge and skill level are light years beyond mine and he doesn’t mind passing it on. Super cool dude and very affable. He answered all of my questions, helped me pick out the colors I was looking for and gave me some great tips on how to apply them. He did not try to oversell me, seeing as I am new to this hobby he easily could have, but rather inquired as to what I wanted my finished product to look like and made simple suggestions in that direction. Came into this store expecting a light selection and army painter paints. Wow, was I wrong. This store is phenomenal. The owner, I believe, is Pete. Stated above, this guy knows his stuff. It's the only place I know of that has AK paints and davinci sable brushes. My only regret is not having more money to drop. Prices are an a+ as well. Picked up the orgor mawtribe spearhead, and wanted more! You also get a discount just for spending money.
