A really lovely park that the whole family (including your dogs) can enjoy. There are 3 small ponds and a lot of people like to fish here. I know they keep the ponds stocked and at least one of them is "catch and release". There is a great walkway around the park and ponds with lots of nice art installations along the way. There are also picnic tables as well as a children's playground. If you take a short walk south you'll find yourself at the Rio Grande. There is a nice sandy walking trail running parallel to the river that goes for quite a ways. Just a little further off from the river and walking trail there is a paved path that a lot of folks like to ride their bikes on. There are a ton of ducks and geese walking around, and swimming in, the ponds. And this brings up my only issue with the place and it's not the park's fault or the people that maintain it. It's clueless visitors' fault. Although there is a large sign that you can't miss at the pond area with the majority of ducks and geese that clearly tells people not to feed the ducks and geese bread and explains how it is not at all good for them....there are people who will not listen or don't care feeding the birds pieces of bread just as fast as they can. On my last visit a couple of days ago on the first truly beautiful day of early spring, people throwing multiple loaves of bread at the ducks got under my skin a bit but there's really nothing I could do. They already have put a huge sign up. Maybe if there was some type of park ranger or somebody with authority reprimanding people then maybe this issue could be put to a stop. Anyway, the park is lovely and I highly recommend. I look forward to returning when it's warmer weather and everything is green and the trees have leaves. Y'all should check it out!

I enjoy biking here..They close the gates at sunset so make sure to park outside if you go late so that your automobile is not gated in. There are trails inside the Bosque the big cottonwood trees give so much shade. If you jump in the river you will be able to walk across because the deepest it gets is waist high on most of the time it is knee high about two or three feet. My dog and I will see you there because we are avid visitors. You may see wild life like owls snakes and even the Mexican wolf's..Be safe, be smart and most important be respectful to nature and they will be respectful of you because you are also a part of nature.

Fun place to go fish. However if you catch a fish you must keep it even if you don't want to. This makes fishing poor if you catch 4 fish quickly. After that you have to leave take your fish home then you can go back. And yes the limit is 4 even tho the state limit is 5. This totally contradicts the fishing guidelines for the state. The security will immediately kick you out or ban you depending on the violation you receive. So all anglers be aware do not release fish back into the water you will get in trouble. These are my fish so yes it can be fun for a short time. Good luck and tight lines.

Beautiful park with beautiful waterfowl everywhere to enjoy the pond as we all were. There was good and bads to this experience, it were our first time over. We'll start with the goods. I notice they have a live bait vending machine which I find to be very convenient to fishermen/women looking for more live bait to catch trout. Very clean and easy to access parking. Security does laps around the pond so it's very well monitored and you feel safe there to just relax and enjoy the calls of the many ducks and geese there at the park. We went in the fall and the leaves are a sight to see, very beautiful scenery. Now for the bad.. It were overly crowded at the pond with about half people wearing masks and the other half not wearing masks. My husband and I both took masks and managed to find a spot a good six feet from the other crowded guests. Sadly, people came and got too close to our own set up, two wore masks, the other five or six did not wear masks. There were a lot of screaming children running around, one group of three caught a fish only to have it out so long that it died. Unfortunately they tossed the body back into the water. We think someone reported it, but we couldn't find anyone at the time patrolling to talk to about it. No clue where their parents were. Another group of children came close with a flock of waterfowl following them for bread. They tossed bread into the water close to our lines and caused the birds to make a lot of noise and splashing. No doubt it scared off any fish in our vicinity.. we decided to pack up early and before we could even fold up our chairs someone tried to hurry and nudge us out of our spot. We gathered our items after telling them to at least give us some space to breathe before they stepped on our things and left. I don't know if we'll be back again after seeing how packed it is, but I don't blame it. Tingley Beach is a popular fishing spot after all. I just wish the experience was more relaxing! We went there to escape the stress of life and instead left even more stressed and drained than we began with! We'll just be sticking to National Park Lakes from here on out. Much more...

Took my grandchildren here to enjoy a walk around this little beach. It always fun to see and feed the ducks. Before covid you could purchase food to give the duck, the self serve coin machines have now been removed. I was sad to see the little restaurant didn't survive covid either. Also, the paddle boats one could rent t to ride out onto the water of the beach were also gone, along with the rental bikes not being available. The train that use to travel between the zoo and the biological park is no longer running. I loved seeing and waiving to the vacationers and locals riding on the train as the volunteer engineers would toot the horn while traveling thru Tingley Beach. The park still offers fishing, various exercise areas, a playground, picnic tables, and various shaded sitting benches. I still managed to enjoy our picnic time with my grandkids. My next trip I'll bring along my own feed store duck and fish food to allow my grandkids to have more interaction with the beautiful wildlife residing...
